Fred Hoiberg Infiniti Voting

It's over, time to move on. I understand it's important to the charities involved, but they all made some money. 100,00 isn't make or break for a charity that has over a billion dollars in assets. As far as publicity for Fred, no one is really following this thing beyond ISU and Purdue fans. The commercial alone is worth way more than actually winning.

I agree with this 1000%. In the end Iowa State got AMAZING pub because of the commercial alone. The winner will be announced a few games in the tournament and that's about it.

I also agree about the charity thing. That money will go a lot farther for Painter's charity than it would for the American Heart Association that already has a ****-ton of money and fundraisers year round, both on the national and local levels.

Only thing that takes a hit here is our online voting ego

I stopped voting and Facebooking about this when I saw what Painter's cause really was.
No offense to Fred and Jamie, but anything that helps kids and parents in a suffering time is a better cause to me.

Congrats to them on their win. I hope this does some major good.

Well, being #2 isn't so bad. Ask Kansas.

Painter's charity was runner up last year and won it all this year. They won't be eligible next year, so the way I see it, we've already won next year's event.

Eff Matt Painter!! CFH still got $33,000+ for his charity.

I believe it was only $15,000 from my reading of the rules. Coaches get the amount determined by the round they are eliminated.

Congratulations to Matt Painter and his charity. Hopefully it makes a difference for those kids.
