Fraschilla vs KU

whew, the disagree button doesn't have a cool down if anyone was wondering.

But it was fun reading the spoiled little brats tell us how they're really the victim here. Despite providing direct evidence of just how spoiled they are.

Honest question. Do you think that ovation would have occurred if ISU had won that game?
Who knows? The whole thing was spontaneous because Bob Davis was on the microphone leading into senior night activities when he saw Niang at the side of the court wrapping up a radio interview and praised him and KU fans responded. It wasnt just a random apause as he walked off the floor.

If Ku had lost the game and Bob Davis did the same things, I feel like the response would have been the same.

Nebraska fans like to talk about how awesome they are too, that all goes out the door when they lose. It's no different with KU fans, just read how douchey they get when they lose to ISU in this thread.

Lolz, riiiiight...
We have had season tickets now for a few years and it was a Saturday home as well as Perry Ellis' senior night. I was there and had no problem standing and cheering for Niang. As I said, it was just a unique moment created by a series of things.

Just because they clapped after ISU lost to KU that night doesn't mean they didn't scream and complain any time Georges drew a foul against them.
Just because we scream and complain when an opposing star draws a foul against us doesn't mean we have some weird hate for them. Are we supposed to CHEER for opposing stars when they do something good?

1. Nobody has said anything about KU being a victim
2. There has been no direct evidence presented of how spoiled KU is
3. I'm pissed beyond words that you would use the disagree button on my posts

There's a reason the Big 12 Offices quit issuing apology letters. Almost every one of their letters involved a mistake in a game in which KU was the beneficiary.

Whatever you say, buddy...

Just so we know the education level of the people we're dealing with, former KU basketball great Drew Gooden once said, "I didn't even know Elvis was from Memphis. I thought he was from Tennessee."

Kay - BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the thing with fouls. Happens at all levels, from high school to the NBA. The star players are often going to get the benefit of the doubt and get fouls called in their favor.

Michael Jordan, the greatest player to play the game, pushed off constantly and didn't get it called most of the time.

The problem is that KU almost always has the best players in the league. Therefore they will usually get calls in their favor, especially at home. This is something that's just going to happen.

However, for KU fans to freak out and not realize how this works in their favor is asinine. If you have to stretch and search high and low to find a handful of bad calls AGAINST KU, then you are trying way too hard to avoid the truth.

KU does get a lot of call in their favor. Just like other star players do. The only way to stop it is to bring in better players and take the title away from them.

Why do you think KU hates opposing star players so much? Tinsley and Stinson drove them nuts because they had the same swagger as KUs star players and got calls in their favor.

They hated Georges because he drew foul calls that a lesser player probably would not have.

Such is the curse of being a front running fan. You are so used to everything going your way that when it doesn't go your way, it's a travesty of justice.

I'm an umpire, and though I don't really care who wins the game, I usually know who's supposed to win the game, especially in a tournament setting. Their coaches and fans react way different to having a close call go against them. And while you are supposed to not let anything affect your calls, I know some guys hear what they are saying and let it affect future calls.
As a Jayhawk fan this is one of the best post I've read. KU fans that don't think KU gets some favorable calls are just blind. Everybody has seen all those traveling videos that were never called on Duke. The top teams get their share of calls. The day that doesn't happen is the day you know your program has fallen.

All KU fans have to do is remember Vince Young's Jr. year when we had Texas beat by completing a 3rd down throw that would have allowed us to run out the clock. Instead an official that lived in TX called a bogus offensive pass interference right in front of UT's bench. The day Mangino said "Dollar signs" in the postgame interview and got fined by the Big 12. That's comparable to the Niang call when he was called for a foul while being laid on top of. The block/charge call is the toughest in the game but to ignore that call and call a foul on Niang afterwards was brutal.

The only thing wrong with the above post was the Niang hate from KU. Maybe it looked that way during competition but all the KU fans I know really respected Niang. Amazing player.

An honest answer. Thank you.

I'd be interested to see a list of the letters that were issued.
iirc, there are four. 3 from the Big 12: basketball game vs KU (non-call on the blarge then bogus subsequent foul call on Georges), football games vs KSU (OOB catch) & UT (conflicting calls that cost us a fumble recovery and a touchdown). The fourth concerns an Ohio state game in the NCAA's.
