Youre right that its too soon to be discussing it, and nobody is seriously talking about doing this anytime soon. But i think its worth noting that if it ever does happen for Hoiberg, it will be about more than his coaching tenure. He was a hometown kid, a ball boy at Hilton Coliseum growing up. He then played for Iowa State and went on to the NBA, but he has always been an ISU supporter. He then has come back, resurrected a program from near death, and if he continues on the track he has he will undeniably be the best coach ISU has ever had. If he's still here in 10 years with these results still continuing, there will be no doubt whose name belongs on that floor. And lets stop with the comparisons to Bill Self. Lets face it, it is easier to do what self is doing at Kansas than for someone to do the same thing at Iowa State (or anywhere else aside from a couple other blue bloods). Its complete apples and oranges.
