Fear the Walking Dead?

I enjoyed last's night episode, as I enjoy the show a lot in general.

I liked that it set up tension that is going to create storylines for the season; tension between Strand and the families, tension between Travis and Chris that I don't think is going to disappear anytime soon, and some external tension with the kid that the teenage girl was talking to, not to mention this incoming boat.

Looking forward to this season and hoping it's a good one, especially after the way TWD fell on its face.

I think the kid is ON the incoming boat, and it's a boatload of pirates. He sounds innocent, lures people into talking to him while they pinpoint the location. The last thing he said was something like "it's okay, I've got you now"...

Hey! Let's stop the boat and add a bunch of unknown strangers to our small yacht. I'm going to tell the OWNER of this boat, that is what I think he should do after he saved my sorry butt. Sheesh....I get feeling bad for those other people, I certainly would, but everyone other than Strand suspends reality so much, it's like they've missed what has happened to them.

I'm going to keep watching it and I'm probably going to hate myself every week for doing so. Only because they could have made this version so kick butt, it's frustrating to watch them so dumb.

I don't know about that. The Zombies just took over. People are not yet conditioned to only look out for themselves and see everyone else as a threat. I think the first instinct for most people would be to help out the lifeboat.

I'm still watching.
Episode was a little better with the conflict between other groups of people, rather than just floating on a boat in the middle of an ocean by themselves.

It's growing on me. I still have no idea the name of any of the characters other than Strand but IMO it's improving.

I'm definitely liking the show more this season. Last night's was pretty good. Hopefully they keep things moving along and don't get bogged down like season two of TWD did.

I actually like this show. It has way more opportunity not to be held back with TWD cannon of characters and stories.

Interesting that we saw a helicopter. Could it be just homage the helicopter in TWD?

Strand, Nick and the old man are still the best characters on the show, but the others are improving.

Wonder who of this main cast though will be the first to to die.

Hoping for the wife/mother/counselor. She's the most annoying.

I thought that was a little hard to understand where he was. I'm assuming that was Mexican border patrol which means that Mexico isn't allowing people in from the US and that's why all those tents were there at the border? Is the outbreak not happening in Mexico? Confused.

Trump's wall backfired.

First thing I do after watching a show I hate is go post in a thread about it, too!

I thought last night's episode was great. The new guy that Nick went to get seems pretty BA.

I like it too. It may sound weird but I actually enjoy that they have somewhat dumbed down the gore a bit. Its still violent enough, but its not as video gamish like the Walking Dead is at times. I know there is a throwback to the comics and there is a niche of folks who love that stuff, but I personally think its a bit over the top. They try to hard to make it gross and it kind of steals from the story at times. /oldmanrant

This show will get better as it goes. They have already encountered some situations that are a bit different than Rick and Co so it can set itself apart.

I thought the episode last night was the best one yet.

How long after the outbreak is the story? It seems like it is to early for these people in the other boat to be this ruthless.
