I forgot how much I hate all the kids on this show.

This show smacked us in the face with a lot of self-absorbed young people and some fairly ineffective parenting skills from some of the adults. It has been harder for me to like many of them (despite the fact that I really like Cliff Curtis, the actor).
Well, it IS Los Angeles. I wouldn't expect anything less.
It took time for Carl to impact the show. He was a cute kid at first.

Realistic though. I'd have a hard time buying it if a bunch of teenagers seamlessly transitioned from their usual lives into zombie apocalypse mode.
It may be realistic, but it makes it MUCH harder to identify with any of them, at least for me. As a past parent of teenagers (and grandparent to current teenagers), I really want to (figuratively) smack some sense into all of them...and that includes their parents.![]()
I'd say my three favorite characters - the son with the heroin addiction, Strand, and the older Mexican guy (sorry, I can't remember all the names).
I like the one with a drug problem. Very good actor. Dumb of him to swim under the boat.
I'm still watching, so shame on me, but this show is terrible compared to walking dead. I feel like I just hate pretty much all of the characters and want them all to get killed off.

I know it goes against what everyone on here thinks, but I like this better than the Walking Dead. It has more potential right now. TWD has started to go a little stale with their characters.
It has more potential because it's not bound by the comic. TWD has gone stale, but it's been 6 seasons and a lot has happened in that time.
What TWD did well was write great early episodes like those in the camp outside Atlanta that made you care for the characters. Carol and her abusive husband, Andrea and her sister, etc. To me what Fear has failed to do so far is make me invested in anyone. If anyone had died on last night's episodes, I wouldn't have cared. Everyone outside maybe Nick and Strand are so superficial it's hard to care about them.
