What a bunch of dicks! At the very least they could have closed the gates behind them before they let loose a thousand zombies to kill a bunch of people in a military base to save 3 people. Even the ruthless, blood thirsty American soldiers didn't leave the gates open when they left.
Exactly what I was yelling at the TV. Was hoping they would all get bit after that.
Seems like the more likable characters had a rough night.
Fancy house guy seems like he could be a governor type. Fancy boat seems like it will draw attention like the prison did though, unless they stay away from other people somehow.
I hope they don't get to the boat, seems like it would be similar to the farm in TWD and just drag the story down.
There is a contradiction in the rich guy's action that really bugs me. He is a rational thinking guy looking out for himself. He knows the situation. Maybe I'm reading ahead because he showed the addict the boat, but why would you allow a large group on to your refuge?

The boat and the house make me think that they're just going through different COD levels right now. I don't have a problem with that, but it's interesting to me.
If they end up on a movie set, that may be too much.
Hopefully the island would be self sustaining with food and fresh water. It could be a crapshoot. A boat puts you at length away from the zombies, but it also takes you away from supplies.
It can only be worse than the farm season if they spend half the season looking for one of the kids while the rest sit around and argue.
So they wiped out the entire military base, killing dozens (maybe more) of soldiers and hospital personnel and the end result was that they saved Matt, the drug addict. Oh, their break in also caused Liza to get bit too, so they only saved one person they came for and caused the other to die. Doesn't seem like the type of people that would be smart enough to survive the zombie apocalypse.
I knew at least one character would be killed off since it was the finale, and I found myself not caring at all who it was. There is no emotional attachment to any characters. I can't even come up with half their names off the top of my head despite watching all the episodes.

Not sure what to think overall. It was an OK show to watch on DVR (can't stand the 5 minute AMC commercial breaks).
But too much was just SMH. Why was Strand incarcerated to begin with? Why would the officer trade Nick back for cufflinks, as if stupid cufflinks are worth anything in the apocalypse.
Like others, could never develop much caring for Travis and his new girlfriend. But the father from El Salvador was a great character. Which man was I?
Personally, I loved that they let the arena horde out to attack the base. Even if it was a little ill conceived and over the top in order to rescue two people, still funny as hell when he told the guards to save their ammo.

He needs people to do things for him. Can't live by yourself forever, even in the apocalypse.
You should probably quit watching this when season 2 starts so we don't have to read about you complaining about no emotional connection with the characters.

The whole reason why I watched this series was to answer the question "what was the cause of all of this - how did every single human in the world get infected with this plague that turns you into a walker once you die?" I feel like I never got the answer to that question, so I'm a bit unsatisfied. I really didn't necessarily need a West Coast Walking Dead.
Yeah, I really thought we might get more of the origins and the epidemiology...and how it has come about that everyone has contracted a form of it now, so that no matter how they die, they change.
