It could happen, but as you say its cliche. Count me as disappointed they couldn't come up with something a little more creative than the evil military waiting to take advantage of an apocalyptic situation. It's even worse they gave the captain (or whatever he is) all the nuance of a Bond villain. Yeah, its headed down a bad road IMO. I'll ride it out till the end of this season, but that may be it for me.

I would guess, all hell breaks loose in the camp. Everyone scatters right before some huge cliffhanger. Then boom, season ends.

Well, in her defense, she probably didn't expect to go out and find a bunch of dead bodies everywhere. I can understand how that might be a distraction and take her off her original mission to find the house.

I'm enjoying it myself quite a bit as well so far.

If people don't like it, that's certainly their own right, but I think that if you can make it through Season 2 of TWD and keep on watching that show you can make it through this inaugural season of FTWD.
 
I'm trying to give it a chance, but so far I really don't think it's very good.
 
This show took a little longer to develop than WD, but I think it's getting quite better. I can tell that **** is going to hit the fan on the season finale and I'm really looking forward to it. If they want to keep the audience in season 2, they will have to start picking up the pace, and I think that will definitely happen once they get outside of their community and into the streets of LA.
 
I actually think that it's pretty good. Kind of a cool premise that we know more than the characters do. I'll agree that they aren't all that likeable. If you were to ask me which TWD character was my favorite, I'd have a tough time. For this series, I can't even name one that I like:

Mom - whining all the time - annoying
Dad - I'll go talk to 'em - annoying
Drug addict son - annoying. Better kick the drugs before it's time to start running.
Daughter - hot but annoying. Is she going to bang her stepbrother??
Ex-wife - annoying
Son - annoying...the new Carl.
Old man - creepy

Still, sign me up for next season.
 
I had no idea where they were going with that dude in the cell. He messes with the crying dude and then saves Nick. Just talks and talks, its weird. The military is definitely splintered, so that should get interesting quick.

I get the feeling that he's trying to weed out the weak people...he made the comment about needing Nick when he makes his escape. Must figure that someone who is still around while going through heroin withdrawals must be pretty strong...and they kind of eluded to Nick making it through his constant rambling test...which obviously broke the Doug guy. And he may figure that someone who is a heroin addict won't be afraid to do what it takes to survive.

I'm not sure what to think of the show. I was a fan but last night's episode kind of lost me. The whole torture thing seemed unnecessary...I think they could've made a better story out of that situation.

But we'll see what happens next week.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that last night.
 
It almost feels like they're sprinting as fast as they can to be TWD. This show really could have taken a much longer look at the descent into chaos rather than jumping straight in. By the end of 6 more episodes it's basically going to be TWD West Coast vs TWD East Coast. Now I'll only be happy if they bring Tupac and Biggie corpses out for the final battle.
 
I think this was one of the better episodes. I still think the show would have been better served by starting earlier and slow playing the pandemic.

I liked the parts of this one that I saw, and I haven't liked the first 3 (I forgot about last week).
It is tough starting when they did, where the government already knows this is happening and people already know that only head shots bring permanent demise, but I wonder if starting earlier would just drag more.

I agree.
Was hoping to see the CDC and Government try to figure out whats going on and the steps they took before the onset. I wonder if next season they will do some flashbacks to some of that, kind of like TWD did a few times. (in season 2 or 3?)

I agree with this. I feel like they are going to fast. Interesting what they said that they will dealt with humanely. I think they meant for the whole city right? Nuke it? Napalm it? Trying to contain what they can in the large cities?
