Fear the Walking Dead?

I keep thinking the episodes are going to get better but not yet for me anyway. I think part of it is the characters.
Yeah, the characters are certainly more annoying. Except for the barbershop guy, he seems to be the only one with common sense and survival instincts.

Also his daughter, and the Latino son in the blended family. They seem to be interested in self-preservation...him learning guns & her insisting they stay with the group.

These characters aren't likable at all. I watch hoping to see them die and get new characters. Rueben Blades and his family are better than the core family

This show makes me appreciate the Walking Dead cast. Although to be fair I hated Lori and Andrea also and now those two have been killed off.

We really won't have a lot of time to be invested in these anyway, since it's just a short filler. I haven't heard any plans to pick it up this winter when TWD is on hiatus again. Has anyone else?

Pretty sure it got picked up for a full second season, 16 episodes I think, same as TWD.

After the ridiculous riot scenes were finally over, I thought the episode was decent. I'm really annoyed by the characters too though. Why put a junkie in the cast, anyway? Aside from the obvious plot filler..

Junkie guy seems to be obvious zombie fodder. They'll string him along long enough to sober up, seem to be a decent person, only to get eaten saving someone.

Seems like they tried to come up with this really "interesting" family dynamic, but it's more stupid than interesting imo.

I like this show. The suspense is a different kind of suspense than TWD. Of course, I'm a zombie when it comes to watching tv shows I could care less about "character development" and that kind of crap. It entertains me in that time slot and I don't like watching crappy NFL games.

I can't stand the junkie. He already looks like a zombie; especially with that stupid limp. My hope is he gets mistaken for a zombie and shot in the head.

Edit: Favorite line of the series so far... "Good morning, Susan."

I actually kind of like where the story is going. Even it seems the military hasnt figured it all out yet, how the took the guy for quarantine or observation. The junkie doesnt bother me, hhe is more in reality than some of the others. The mom is figuring out quickly, but the one character tat i dont like is the stepfather, what a xxxxx. Hes seen these zombies eat several people now, and he still is trying to be a pacifist about it.

The mom still drives me nuts, although the one smart thing she tries to do, tap Susan, the guy stops. Am I the only one that thought WTF, when they are holed up playing board games, and she knows what's out there, but no one seems concerned about where the dog is until he shows up? And the refusal to tell the daughter about got her killed. Junkie getting on my nerves this episode. I like the barber's daughter and that's about it unless they bring back Tobias.

Mom - hate her
Dad - pu**y.
Junkie/a**hole son - hate him
Angry/b**chy son - hate him
Angry/b**chy daughter - hate her
Ex wife - like her
Ruben Blades (barber) - like him
Ruben's daughter - like her
Ruben's wife - don't care either way.

When Ruben double tapped that zombie in the head, I knew he was a no-nonsense guy. He also has exhibited the most complex behavior of all characters. Seeing the dad struggle to drag that body out of the house and him not helping I found very intriguing about his character.

Mom... Needs to ******* talk more about what she knows.
Dad.. As the barber says, ******* weak. But that's probably on purpose for character development
Son.. Annoying as ****..
Daughter. Hot. Id say she's doomed but she's practically the new Carl. Stay in the ******* house.
Travis's son.. Can die anytime
Ex wife.. Straight out of Litchfield
Barber- awesome but annoying he was so stubborn on leaving
Barbers daughter- will pay the price for that
Barbers wife-doomed

I feel the character development is bad when I can't remember any names but Tobias. I keep referring to the mom as Colette the hooker from Sons when talking about the show with the family. Fortunately they know how my senile mind works.

Here's my 2 cents on the characters:

Mom - Needs to tell people what she has seen. Annoying. Stop shining flashlights out the windows at night.
Dad - Soft and weak. Anti-guns.
Son - actually don't mind him. I want him to turn into a drugged up badass.
Daughter - Hot, but annoying. Again, stop shining flashlights out the window at night.
Travis's son - annoying.
Ex wife - No opinion.
Barber - Smart, tough, badass. Would definitely stick with him in a zombie apocalypse.
Barbers daughter - Hot, wouldn't mind being stuck with her in a zombie apocalypse.
Barbers wife - she won't last long.
Tobias - seems knowledgeable, but not physically strong.
