Fear the Walking Dead?

Shooting the lady in the head in front of the dad (and his wife) when the neighbor and his former wife appeared to be hugging.

That's not a typical response during a riot situation.

Noooo...but I don't recall them explaining it, other than "she wasn't alive" or words to that effect. Spend a half hour in the cave here and you'll find at least a dozen posters that don't trust the police/guard/army/government. Shooting someone (animated corpse, zombie, or very sick individual) in the head without warning or explanation doesn't lead people to trust soldiers, you know?

So the military is pretty much going out and exterminating everything not in one of the 'safe zones'

God, I hate that junkie kid! He's the biggest *** hole in the show. Well, both him and his mom.
I know. Somehow the writers think we should feel some sort of empathy toward him as he gets taken away. They really messed this up because you don't care about the people.

This. I just can't identify with ANY of them at this point. They've made all of them so "complex" that the negatives outweigh the positives.

The only good thing that could happen at this point is if the military killed every single character on the show besides Daniel (Shop-Owner), then turn the guns on themselves for a mass suicide. At this point Daniel takes off on his own and finds a hot blonde and they go across the U.S. tearing **** up.

I don't really like any of these characters, except the shop owner I suppose.

I was hoping when the military guys came and got them at the end of the show that they'd shoot the entire cast and start over.

The only character I care about is that over-weight nerdy school kid who was taking school supplies since he knows what's going on.

Oh yeah, I forgot about him. OK kill everyone except the shop owner, a hot blonde, and the fat kid.

I don't really find them complex. I understand that in a world without zombies people would be really confused by what is happening around them but you would think they would actually talk about what they have been seeing to try to make sense of it all.
And the druggie kid needs to be put down. I'm just tired of his crap.

I say just kill them all and restart with a whole new cast consisting of hot blondes and brunettes

I put complex in quotations because I feel that the writers are trying too hard to make them "complex", and in the process are giving them few redeemable qualities. Let us like at least a few of them first...then flesh them out with backstory.

The attempt to relate to current events with the whole police/military abusing their power thing got old really fast and almost seems like they are trying to shove that idea down our throats.

No kidding. The Army captain's character was so over the top evil it's hard to take seriously.

Pretty sure that nerdy kid will somehow show up at the last episode and then saves the day when the series continues later on. Just biding my time until the real WD appears 10/11.

I dont think thats attempting to relate to current events. I think thats actually part of the canon of the TWD universe. We saw a little of it with the original TWD series- when Shane went to check on Rick while rick was in a coma, he came upon military doing exactly what they were doing here- just killing everything living or dead outside 'safe zones'.
