For example, you got sent something that you didn't order? A funny or interesting extra product, note, etc?

  • We ordered something on Amazon and randomly got a brand new woman's shirt in the box we didn't order or pay for. They let us keep it for free.
  • My friend was randomly sent a $400+ pro grade paper shredder once, they let him keep that for free, too.

My wife and I received a master cylinder a few months ago for a 70’s Chevy that we didn’t order. There is apparently a scam out called “brushing” where companies or crooks will “order” there stuff off of places like Amazon to boost the number of orders so their stuff will appear higher on your search so you order from them instead. They use random peoples address.

I feel like they’d send something cheaper than a master cylinder if they were brushing or are they relying on people to return it.

My wife ordered a bunch of stuff from Walmart this past holiday season. One of the deliveries we got was pajamas (which she had ordered), but when the delivery arrived, the Walmart box had clearly been cut open and then taped back together and in addition to the Walmart pajama order there was a bundle of clothes from Stitch Fix (which no one in the house had ordered).

I checked with neighbors and no one has as missing an order from Stitch Fix.

As a weird coincidence, I checked our Ring doorbell history to see if anyone had messed with our delivery, and the Ring didn’t pick up the delivery at all (in one motion detected scene it wasn’t there, in the next it was), and even weirder, in between, there was a zero second motion detected clip…

Had no idea what to do with the stuff we didn’t order….

One time I ordered a shower head. I think it was $60 bucks or something. Instead of just the one I ordered they sent me a box of 100.

I put them in my garage and my roommate came home and saw the huge stash and asked if I was starting a shower head business out of our garage. It took them about a week to figure out where they had mistakenly sent them. They had a UPS guy out there pretty quickly to retrieve them.

About 10 years ago, my wife's brother bought an iPod shuffle for their mom for Christmas. He just wrapped the package without opening it (one of those frustration-free brown boxes). She unwrapped it on Christmas morning in front of everyone, opened the box, and had a confused look on her face. Someone asked "What is it?!" She said "It looks like 6 iPod shuffles...".

Sure enough, there were 6 of them, all brand new in their boxes lined up neatly. My BIL contacted Amazon, who told him to just keep them, so several people got new iPods that Christmas!

About 12 years ago I ordered a T shirt from cyclone fanatic. Inside the box they threw in a free Cyclone Fanatic koozie

I no longer have the t shirt but I bet I’ve taken that koozie to every cyclone sporting event or game watch I’ve been to ever since

Once about 8 years ago, I ordered some malted milk balls (couldn't find any in the stores for about 6 months) and instead of just a pound of those I also got two HUGE boxes of Swedish Fish. I called and they came and picked them up the next day. It had my address but they were mispackaged and were for someone else, obviously.

Some of you have gotten some interesting stuff! Only thing I can think of is we got some pink guitars picks in an Amazon box once that I'm sure no one was going to raise a fuss over.
