It just seemed he was the most college-ready of the incoming freshmen. I’m not too worried about him yet.We have a lot of new players, but most of them are transfers. Couple that with the returning players, and we have a lot of experience (if not from playing together). Can't read much into a young guy getting light minutes over two games.
16 years later and clonedude is still doing clonedude things. Gotta admire the dedication to being an insufferablely negative posterSo give him virtually no time at all in a game like this? That should help his development.
If we’re all being honest…. it’s basically a sign that they missed on him and don’t care if he leaves. That’s what it has meant in the past.
Even if he is a bust he is like the 12th option on this team this year so who cares. Not everyone can be a hit.I'm having a great time with this, but it's smat to trust TJ's recruiting enough that we can assume this young man isn't a bust 2 games in. He's going to be fine.
I had to Google smat, even threw it in urban dictionary, I’m going to stay quiet now because I’m not sure which definition of smat is correct.I'm having a great time with this, but it's smat to trust TJ's recruiting enough that we can assume this young man isn't a bust 2 games in. Yeah, he sucked. Nothing but respect for what he turned into and he was an amazing contributor to the team by his senior year. But I cringed every time he came into the game as a freshman.Does anyone remember how much Naz played as a true freshman?
I will not look up smat in Urban DictionaryI had to Google smat, even threw it in urban dictionary, I’m going to stay quiet now because I’m not sure which definition of smat is correct.
Is lipsey injured? He look like he hyper extended his leg or something right before that last timeoutUnless he’s injured, which he shouldn’t play at all if he is, then there’s no reason to not get him more minutes in a game like this.
What if Linsey is injured?

Secret suspension, maybe? I don't think he's even showing up for the games, much less dressing out.
I'm not concerned about Eli. He had a little further to go than Lipsey and Watson, played in a smaller class in MN if I recall correctly. 2A out of 4A. Tamin at least played at the highest level in the state of Iowa, and was Mr. Basketball in the state, winning a championship. Watson played at Totino-Grace, one class above Eli.
We are undermanned at guard this year. If Eli can get up to speed, he'll see minutes.
Hearing players only meeting today on this very topic. Concerning.
I think Eli's lack of playing time is probably more a byproduct of having so many new faces this year. Even up 20+ points, there is value in having our core 8 out there to gain familiarity and establish roles. In prior years with a more proven team, you'd probably see the 9-12 players get some run. But here there's just too much value to the top guys being on the floor together before we start playing tougher opponents.
Thank you, I saw it happen and him waiving to sit. In my head I’m going, oh the guy gets going and gets injuredSunday pod mentioned in passing that he just cramped up.
@clonedude is never off his game, he brings it 24/7/365JFC it's not even mid November yet.

Guys??? It's one ******* dumbass.Slow the **** down guys.
Eli is going to be good but like a lot of true freshmen, he’s going to take a year or so to develop into a Big 12 player. Since he won’t be a key contributor this year, it’s more important to get the first 9 in the rotation to gel, including our other freshmen that will be relied on.
Eli is doing well in practice and will be good, even without many minutes this year as he develops through training, practice against Big 12 bodies, etc.
