Don't rush the court....

Exactly. Just look completely disinterested. Calmly pick up your belongings and head to your car in a slow cautious manner.

Don't forget to start to do this with about 3 minutes left in a close game. Trust me, you'll be the only one with the idea to stand around the concrete wall above the parquet and dart out of there once the game is in hand.

What if I want to storm at halftime? Could I do it then?

We should rush after each and every win in basketball and football. The country will look at Iowa State as those crazy kids with the crazy passion. By storming every win, we don't have to have these long debates.

Everybody Sweet Caroline at mid-court! We are the Cyclones, dammit.

Compromise: Stroll slowly onto the count after we win.

I think it was Utah State or somebody that waited to storm until after the other team had left the court recently. Gary Parrish gave it props, but it seems kind of lame.

I'm in between both camps on this issue. However when was the last time you saw KU students rush after a win in the Phog?

I don't think KU has rushed the court since the 70's. Honestly, they shouldn't be rushing the court. Why would they? When you rush the court all you're doing is saying we didn't expect to beat you and it's a major upset. With where Kansas is at, it would just be weird if KU rushed the court in any situation.

One thing is for sure... there would be nothing that demoralizes a team more then watching the other teams fans storming the court to celebrate the fact that you just got your ***** kicked.

I feel 100% the opposite. Storming the court says "youre really good and we're not, even though we were fortunate to win".
If the crowd politely applauded and filed out quietly, that would be demoralizing.

I can't think of a single moment in my life where I want to imitate a KU student.

Demoralizing to who? Our players? After a win against a team like Kansas, as a player, I would almost think, "Jeez, a quiet applause and filing out is all we get?" Maybe it would be even better to go ahead and leave with 5 minutes left. I mean talk about demoralizing, we're so confident we'll win, we don't even need to stick around for the end. Now that would be confidence.

It sure is demoralizing to the players when we storm the court/field.

I remember when we did against Iola in football in '07 and Ace Bowen was yelling at us to stop... wait, he was high fiving and hugging random dudes.

Come on guys. #AlwaysStormTheCourt

Storming the court is a very serious decision and I'd appreciate it if you'd all consider the OP's feelings first.

If we ever want to be treated like a top tier team, we cant storm the court after beating another top tier team (that we will probably be favored against in Vegas). I understand emotions run high if you win a big game, but just go crazy and stay until Sweet Caroline is done, then go home happy as **** we just beat Kansas.
