I want the students (and us old farts too) to be so emotionally charged up and involved in the game that we express it in whatever manner comes naturally to us. To me, there's nothing more silly than feigned nonchalance. We love our team, and we shouldn't EVER think it's "beneath us" to show it. If that means clapping and high-fiving in the stands until our hands fall off or running down to the court to celebrate with the team, so be it.![]()
You had me at "Don't play Sweet Caroline."Don't rush the court.
Don't play Sweet Caroline.
Don't chant "overrated."
Don't do profanity chants.
Don't forget your nerdy Cyclone Alley name tags.
Have fun!![]()
I think it's more powerful to send the message that it's no big deal. We are going to be the new KU in the Big 12. (I hope) To clear it up, not an old man, good try though.
I saw my first games at the Old Armory.
I say if the students want to strip naked and rush the court, more twerking power to them!
Don't cheer. Act like you've been there before.
If you do storm the court, I wouldn't recommend getting in Cliff Alexander's face. That guy could break you in half.
Only oldies (65 years and older) rush the floor.
