I want the students (and us old farts too) to be so emotionally charged up and involved in the game that we express it in whatever manner comes naturally to us. To me, there's nothing more silly than feigned nonchalance. We love our team, and we shouldn't EVER think it's "beneath us" to show it. If that means clapping and high-fiving in the stands until our hands fall off or running down to the court to celebrate with the team, so be it.

I think this is where I draw the line.

I think it's more powerful to send the message that it's no big deal. We are going to be the new KU in the Big 12. (I hope) To clear it up, not an old man, good try though.

The ISU team beating them consistently, sends a message. The fans should have no impact on that.
