Don't rush the court....

If you do storm the court, I wouldn't recommend getting in Cliff Alexander's face. That guy could break you in half.

If you do not rush this as a win, when do you rush. It will not be football. It probably will not be other sports. KU would be best reason to rush Hilton Court this year....

Or clinching that B12 regular season championship against Oklahoma

Rushing the court now depends on how we win.

Should we be down 20, come back and win by 1 on a Naz last second three pointer, I'm fine with rushing the court.

If we win by 10, I'm fine with not rushing the court.

Court/Field rushing is never planned. The flow of the game dictates rushing unless it's a huge upset. For instance, we should have rushed the field when we beat #2 OKState in 2011 no matter what but the situation of the game ending made the storming awesome.

Beating KU on Saturday does not in and of itself justify court storming.

A good example may be UT when Boddicker missed the free throws. I actually missed that game, but I suppose it may have been different it was a 10-pt win rather than coming down to the crowd going nuts during an opposing team's FTs.

Edit: That's probably not a good example because I don't think ISU had had a big win in Hilton in a long time at that point. Whatever, do whatever you want students.

Who cares? Let the students do whatever they want to do. If you want to rush the court, rush away. Hell, if you want to rush the court for next years exhibition win, feel free. Why some people get so butt hurt about this is beyond me. Who cares what outsiders think; if you run your life worried about what others think of your minor actions, you're going to lead a boring life.

Still the best game I have ever seen at Hilton. My friends and I were going absolutely crazy making noise when he was shooting those free throws. The rushing the court was not planned at all, but emotions just carried us from the crowd onto the court. By the time we had calmed down, we realized we were standing on the court, and left looking around in a cluster of students for each other.

Boom! FTW.

Only on a message board would anyone give two flying ****s on such a pointless topic.

Great a 20 page thread is coming from old dudes yelling at drunk college students about the merits of court storming and when they are allowed to do it.

I'm an old dude and have no issues with rushing the court for big wins. So what if it looks like "You haven't been there before" I'd rather have it look like people are having fun.

I saw my first games at the Old Armory.

I say if the students want to strip naked and rush the court, more twerking power to them!

It would be funner to mock the rock, chalk, Jayhawk chant somehow if we are winning with a minute or so left and the game is sealed. That would be great. I also can't stand their Kay ay ay ay U! U! chant that their cheerleaders do throughout the game. If we chanted over that that would be awesome.

Im in this boat.

And for the love of God, if the court is stormed please please please make sure everybody storms with rage. If it looks like a Rutgers court storm, it will be embarrassing. Literally 20 fans trickled onto the floor and stood there clueless. Its gotta be all or nothing.

I want the students (and us old farts too) to be so emotionally charged up and involved in the game that we express it in whatever manner comes naturally to us. To me, there's nothing more silly than feigned nonchalance. We love our team, and we shouldn't EVER think it's "beneath us" to show it. If that means clapping and high-fiving in the stands until our hands fall off or running down to the court to celebrate with the team, so be it. :)
