Please ignore this thread and those who started it. I hate that our fans started this. It makes us look bad and stupid. I repsect Baylor as a team and your message boards usually had pretty nice things to say about us. Don't let those stupid fans change your fans opinion of our fanbase. I would say that if you asked coaches around the country if Baylor has committed major b ball recruiting violations.....off the record they'd all say obviously.
Side note I was talking to a former recruit and player at a nw area bigger d1 school at work and I guess his schools famous for having a young lady take a recruit back to her room and then pulling the ol bait and switch in the dark. Lights come on and a photo is taken of the recruit and his new bf.

No fan knows forsure if their coach cheats or not. We do know some coaches have a past of getting caught. For a fan to say they are sure their coach isnt cheating is stupid.
well seeing as Self and Barnes are probably the 2 most respected and successful coaches in the conference their words carry quite a bit of weight but if you want more I've got it, 2 more Hall Of Famers Bobby Knight and Eddie Sutton along with their respective sons who were also head coaches in the conference and Baylor would have to worry about the cellphone probe, penalties don't go away just because the perpetrators leave the programs still get punished, example is Ohio State football and soon to be Miami's entire athletic department and Missouri basketball because they hired Frank Haith so really it'll be IU AND Baylor getting punished for that, not to mention the extremely unethical practice of getting a high school kid's visa revoked if he doesn't sign with you.

Answer, it was at least a decade. By the way Baylor is ALREADY BEING INVESTIGATED by the NCAA. They have already been found to be making calls and excessive texting in dead periods just like Sampson did OU. Cheating or bending the rules is very widespread in college bb. It is a cesspool. When several respected Big 12 coaches and have made comments about Baylor's recruiting tactics, and investigation under way, combined with the general nature of college basketball recruiting, it is entirely okay to question if Baylor cheats. Just do a google search on Baylor's recruiting tactics. Goodness.
