Please elaborate on how Royce was a bad teammate while at ISU. This is the first I've heard of any accusation like that.
I agree that the input of our current players is important. Heck, I'd have him spend his free time with Melvin. If he likes a guy, I would think that would be a great sign.
What if Kane is not getting a scholarship? What if he was just asked to walk on?
Everyone is saying someone will have to lose their scholarship. Not saying it is likely, but if the guy is truely the "guy no one wants" couldnt we say we will give you a shot at a D1 school but it will be as a preferred walk on. Just saying. Another option.

The term for Kane when he announced he was transferring was "highly sought after". The one guy who keeps saying in this thread nobody on his team liked him, fans wanted him gone, etc isn't backing up what he's saying.
It's a rumor that has been perpetuated by posters on this site. They run with it and all of a sudden it is fact. People like rumors that go against popular sentiment (that Royce was well-liked). It could be true, but it seems more like wannabe insiders flexing their internet muscles.
I've heard the same but there are teams that want him. He's not going to walk on.

It's a VISIT. Not an AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP. Not even an OFFER yet.
Just because at this point in time we PROJECT that the maximum number of awarded scholarships will be reached does not mean that we should not meet with kids for backup plans in case something happens (a player doesn't qualify, a commit desides to back out of a verbal committment or a player desides to transfer).
And clearly the coaches have an idea if any of those things might happen before any of us do, so even if an OFFER comes out (which may be conditional that something happens to free up a given scholly) it may be due to the fact that our coaches forsee something that we don't know about.
Heck, maybe on his VISIT the topic of discussion is even about paying his own way to play here. We have no idea, yet we always go straight to "Someone who thought they were going to get a scholly is not going to anymore."
There's other options out there and knowledge going on behind the scenes. I'm pretty sure Fred can count to 13... that's why we have toes.

I think you misunderstood what I said. He is highly sought after and many teams want him. bringmagicback keeps saying Pitt didn't want him, Marshall fans wanted him gone, his teammates hated him but is not providing any proof to any of it. I think it'd be a steal if we got him
What I hear comes from Marshall fans and those close to the program (2nd hand). I cant really get the players to post here and dont really want to ask family/friends (marshall fans) to post here to defend my internet honor. Nor do i feel like finding the quote from a coach that said addition by subtraction, when he left. Google it, not hard to find. Im just stating what ive heard instead of wetting myself that an average player who has asked to take visits to bigger programs has asked to visit ours.
And i said half the marshall fans want him gone, however it seems all the players wanted him gone.
When I google him transferring out of Marshall all I have found is how big of a loss it is for Tom Herriron and the Thundering Herd. Maybe you should say "I heard the players said they wanted him gone" instead of saying it as a fact when you don't have them to back it up.
