I'll watch, if I have nothing else to do. I can't remember the last time I yelled at the TV or got excited about a good play. It's just like watching any other college football team, almost like no dog in the fight anymore.
So, apathy for me.
My oldest daughter's first ISU game is this weekend. I've tried to prepare her for what it's going to be like, but I'm concerned for her fandom if it plays like I expect it to play.
I am always excited for ISU football
Apathy and boredom, mostly apathy.
When I listen to the games on the radio I find myself laughing at our mistakes, rather than being upset. The most common word on our CB radios (shared channel between me, dad, and 6-10 neighbors) is "classic" with a chuckle as we do something stupid.
Even though my hate for Iowa runs deep, I almost look forward to listening to their games more than ours. Better team to listen to, games that are actually competitive, better radio guys, etc.
Meh.
Lets not get carried away...
Is there a combination of apathy and pessimism? Like, I'm to the point that I'm not caring, but I'm also upset that I'm driven to not care at the same time.
