Pessimism:
noun
A tendency to see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen; a lack of hope or confidence in the future.

Lots of complaining from those claiming they don't care.

I choose to be optimistic. I love ISU and I love college football, so I'm still tuning in every week to catch the exciting moments. Last week it was Warren (again) and Lazard's "whirling dervish" catch.

none of the options convey enough sadness. That's my overall feeling. I'm sad about it. I wanted CPR to be the guy, and he's not. I wanted these players to taste success, and they're not going to. I thought ISU could turn a corner, and not only is it not, but it's not likely to happen going forward, either, not even with a new coach. So, I'm basically sad about everything, and hoping that this time around we catch lightning in a bottle.

I wanted to say apathy but I can't...for some reason, maybe being a hawk convert, I love ISU football. I wish I didn't but I do. So my answer is disdain and it's for this staff. When TTU sets a yardage record against us it really does fill me with disdain. I can't be apathetic while watching Lazard, Campos, etc. etc. talents being squandered. ISU can do better and I hate the fact that the Rhoads regime is now reinforcing the "we can't do it at ISU" loser attitude.

Oh! So EMO! :jimlad:

Disappointed with three years of getting beat down. If we did not have basketball, it would have been a long winter. Paul combined with McD ball would be unbearable.

Thank you for sharing the darkness in your soul and the bleakness of your spirit with all of us.

Would you like me to share this haiku I wrote about it? Haikus are Asian. I'm really into Asian culture, lately. :jimlad:

I found a rare picture of Janny in grade school...

I am always excited for ISU football

I'll be excited for every game, but that's because I love Iowa State and college football. That doesn't mean I'm excited for the future unless we make a change at head coach. I guess what I'm saying is this poll is flawed.

Very true.

That's where I am. I can't stop caring. I just have to distract myself by bringing my kids to games and playing games on my phone when it gets too ugly to watch.

Ready to take some beatings.
Disappointed that we have more talent and it is not being fully utilized.
Unsure about the 12 yard cushions whether a 3 or 4 man line.
Still do not understand B12 refs and replay booth thought process.
Impressed with contributions by new talent and use of many players.
Wish Sam looked like he had better more aggressive body language and his passing hand was bigger.
Not sure why the three rush linemen could not be spread out wider to open a little more rush alley than they showed against TT.

What do you guys think?
I am only going to address the WINS grade. The fact that D is still above .500, and we are below that with the easiest portion of our schedule completed, I would say it deserves a big fat F.

I didn't vote because my choice wasn't there. YOu need a choice of "Apathy is starting to come, but ****** as hell that every time I come to CF there is another 5 ******* threads about the same coaching ****!!" Need someone to combine all the threads into one big festering mass.
