Clayton Custer Transfering

Hallice Cooke was not recruited to play point guard people. Stay patient lots of roster movement that will still occur before the end of May.

In that respect, neither was Morris.
Cooke was recruited because he can play pg, as well as play with a pg...most would say he was recruited to play pg.

Not real surprised...if he were in the mix, you'd think he would have been on the floor at least a bit this year, since ISU doesn't have any other PGs.

One of things people fail to realize is that Cooke played at St. Anthony's in high school. He is here to win. It is not going to be about stats, the NBA, being disrespected about being off the first team Big 12, etc. It will be about winning.

An excellent point. And if this team did indeed have a toughness issue, Cooke will help solve that. Bobby Hurley Sr. is damn tough on his guys.

Who fails to realize that?
The only doubt on Cooke is his readiness coming off of major surgeries.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread, but I am not shocked, or concerned by this.

From what little I saw of CC, I thought he looked physically small and not very quick. Admittedly, this is unfair judgement, since he is a true freshman and barely played, after being sick. But I definitely thought "this kid isn't going to make it at this level" just physically.

I hope he has a great career at Wichita St (or wherever) and gets to win a lot of games. Seems like a great kid.

Sad to see CC go. But he wants to play. With Hallice Cooke on the roster his role might have been limited. The Mono that he had earlier in the year hurt his development. Wish him the best of luck wherever he goes.

Players are recruited because of talent. Get it of here with your **** spewing keyboard.

So you're assuming this was all his decision?

Yes it was his decision. And its understandable because he wasnt getting playing time and he can find a better fit now perhaps. Wish he could have stayed four years and developed but there's no guarantee that would have happened. Wish him the best.

Naz Long traded to Texas for Felix? McKay traded to Kentucky for the recruitment rights to Diallo? Abdel Nader got cut? Hoiberg is rebuilding and traded Morris and Niang to LSU for their top 3 recruits this season and best 2 next season? The suspense is killing me.

I actually feel bad about Clayton transferring. I thought he would play meaningful minutes by his junior year. Best of luck in the future, Clayton.

The next Fred Van Fleet.

Really think we should be trading with Syracuse right now. Maybe send McKay and Nader up there in exchange for a couple top recruits and Boeheim as an assistant coach? They have no leverage because of the postseason ban and scholarship losses IMO.

Hopefully we never resort to tanking. Having a top pick in the 2015 High School Players draft would be great though.

I can see why he wanted to leave, just too much talent in front of him I guess. Its too bad he didn't stick it out for another season to improve his game and see where he fits in.

Oh ****! He told us to be patient and you just trumped his "insider" with an even deeper "insider" Mind Blown! and great post.
