Clayton Custer Transfering

Way to go Clayton Custer and way to go Loyola Ramblers, congrats on your final four destiny run of 2018....Just like in 1963 when the Cincinnati Bearcats were favorites to beat the Ramblers....Not so fast my friend the Ramblers won the Natl Title in Overtime the way I remember it.....Its great to see the Mo Valley get a least a little recogniton......

Gentle reminder to not be prisoner of the moment. I am glad for Custer that this worked out for him, but there is no way knowing that this special moment would occur. Embrace the entropy.

And there's nothing to show that he could have kept things moving like NWB was able to at full strength.

To me it looks like he fits the team he's on really well along with the system they run, and vice versa. Fitting in is vital for anyone.

They're just a good example of what good team basketball can do for you. Who knew?
 
Woulda, coulda, shoulda....it definitely turned out well for Clayton.

From our standpoint, it might have been better had he redshirted that first year. That would have insured hin at least two years after Monte, assuming he even would have stayed when Fred left. Considering Naz was originally to have graduated with Niang and Monte might leave the same time, it could have been set up ver well for him. Part of the reason for recruiting DJ had to have been that Custer was gone. Can't help but think CC would have done well by himself in that situation both this year and next.
 
Loyola is a nice, feel-good story, and props to Custer and crew for doing what they've done. That said, I don't get the obsession on this forum and other media outlets for him, simply because he spent a year here. He moved on. So did I when he transferred. I'm not participating in this 'what-if' game, because frankly, it's stupid.
 
Hate to see guys transfer, but this made sense at the time.

Couldn't be happier for him how it's worked out. It's almost been as fun cheering for him in the tournament than if he were still with ISU.
 
First, Loyola is executing on offense really well, and usually has 4 guys on the floor that can handle and three that can shoot from deep. They get back on D every possession.
It's a good example of what I think is a good change. Rather than sit and get recruited over, high ranked guys go to good programs rather than sit and get recruited over at blue bloods. Likewise, solid P5 guys go to mud majors to play more. With the tournament as it is, it can make sense to go to a good mid major and get in the dance.
