Classless Hawk fans....

Ohhhh... We have a second eye witness... Must mean it's true now.

Hey Earl... He called me a loser.. He's a Hawk I bet.

Don't be that guy....

Ok I see what you are saying and yeah I guess it's possible but I can't believe they would just post some made up story like that to start something.... Obviously I don't know for sure that's just my opinion

Last week I was at Disneyland dressed in a Iowa shirt, and a couple of 30ish women called me a loser. I just laughed and kept walking. classless clone fans....

See I can make things up to make the other fan base look bad also.

I hope you realize by trolling on an Cyclone fan message board and posting things like this you're only proving our point.

Ketel just admitted on page 2.... That he didn't know if they were a hawk fan or not.. Actually look at 3 posts or so before this one and you can see what he said.

He assumed they were Hawk fans. No way to tell.. No Hawk gear.

I'm sure no one would start something on a message board either for no reason. Because we know where everyone lives and know everyone tells the truth 24/7..:skeptical::jimlad:

Actually he's proving the point that he can make up a stupid story also. I see nothing wrong with this. He's just pointing out how week Ketel's original post is.

1. Guess I only assumed they were Hawk fans, probably because of all the food they had spilled on their blouses.
2. The trials haven't begun yet..although I assume money will change hands to keep anything from happening.

Theres no way he just made that up... sry

Wanna bet?

Being that the OP admits to making up this story, I can see why a complete stranger assumed he was a loser. There's plenty of actual fans that will do something to make their fanbase look bad. No reason to invent something to poke fun at them.

Nothing I posted was classless. I was simply making the point on how easy it is to make up a story to make a opposing fan base look bad.

I did assume they were Hawk fans...and the comments were directed at both my and my wife. I may be a loser, she certainly isn't. We all know where the fans who made the comments were from. As I said, it was an observation, but I have never seen that kind of stuff from fans from other colleges.

Sry I didn't read through all the posts..... All I saw was the beginning... I stand corrected

Bingo... We have a winner....

When people make up crap like this without proof, it only makes them look stupid.

"I got punched one time in a bar fight, I know it was a Hawk fan. Even though I didn't see who did it"

Duh....

Wisconsin's are pretty awful

I agree.... plus Nebraska

I still don't understand how it made him look stupid.... he made an assumption... good for him

Interesting... You were in Disneyland... You walked by 2 ladys that called you losers, and you knew exactly that they were from Iowa?? And cheered for Iowa.

Ok... I've been alot of places but could never tell just by looking at someone, which state they are from. Your really streching on this one.

I've been called a loser before in Nebraska.. Wonder if they were Hawk fans. Please stop Ketel. Your not helping your cause.

I assume certain Cyclone fans are Idiots that care more about trying to diss Iowa fans then worrying about their own team.

Assumptions are completely useless without facts.

Actually, I think the fans in Lincoln are pretty friendly. We've been to the last two ISU games there, and we're treated great. The same in Colorado, Mizzou, K State, but not so in Iowa City.
And if I was going to make up a story, I would have embellished it by saying they had on Hawk shirts, caps and were singing the fight song. I didn't do that.

No, we don't. You don't know where those people were from, and neither does anyone else who's read your posts.

You can't say that you assumed the two were Iowa fans and then then turn around and say that you know they were Iowa fans two sentences later.

If you've never seen boorish fan behavior from any fanbase besides Iowa then you haven't been out much. Cyclone fans like to paint a picture of Iowa fans as having the market cornered when it comes to bad behavior from the fans, and that it isn't anywhere close to being true.

Tell me, had they been wearing USC shirts, would you have assumed that they were from Los Angeles?

From what I have personally witnessed, I would say its pretty even...

Well, from what I have personally witnessed, it's not even close. Our tailgate for the ISU/iowa game is usually at least 1/3 hok and none of them have gotten any more than ribbing. On the other hand, on my two excursions to IC, I have had full beer cans thrown at me and been challenged to a fight all for wearing an ISU shirt...no talking, just walking across a parking lot. And my wife (before I even knew her) was pelted with food for wearing an ISU shirt even though she really didn't care who won the game...definitely was not rooting or running her mouth. I had a buddy who had a pound of raw hamburger thrown at him. He at least had a herky doll on a noose he was carrying, but he still was not running his mouth to any particular fans.

I will give the OP credit. A post like this allows me to keep increasing my ignore list. Hoks come out of the woodwork for threads like this!
