Sounds like we have a fighting chance and at least we will know in less than 60 days.
Seems like this would be a huge get for the staff. Already has great size and sounds extremely coachable. Also love the fact that Small has been recruiting him for a while so he was on him before a lot of other people. If they can get him to visit I really like their chances.
The more I hear about Dembele the more I like him & hope he chooses ISU. I'm cautiously optimistic about him & our chances to land him but I almost get a "too good to be true" feeling from the situation . Hopefully that's just my typical ISU skepticism.
I was just thinking the same thing. Just read another article on him and now I really really hope they get him but feel like I am being set up for a let down. Kid has major upside. A Big who can move really well, hits jumpers,block shots, good hands, and has an amazing attitude. He has NBA written all over him. Reminds me of how quickly Embiid developed.

In this other article about him, there are two additional 2016 recruits shown in the foreground of the video who have been identified as ISU recruiting targets. They are both projected to be near-perfect replacements for the interior defense we will be losing to graduation.

He'd also be a 21-year-old freshman, so it's not like he won't be physically developed. Count me in.
