Better than Findlay and their paid entertainment.

You would think the NCAA would be smart enough to put some language on this rule that would allow special circumstances like putting a walk-on onto scholarship, but allowing 1-year terms. Otherwise it will hurt walk-ons going forward, and they aren't really who the rule is intended to help.

So, is this the Doug McDermott rule? McDermott paid his way his senior year (walk-on) so that another scholarship was available for a teammate who get a 5th or 6th year via a medical redshirt exemption.

No, I think it was to make it harder for schools to take kids out of HS and then revoke their scholarship if they weren't as good as expected. If Greg wants to pay for Doug's tuition, he's free to do so.

I wonder who funds this school? IE, what colleges are most of their players ending up at? The academy basically comes right out and says we are here to develop athletes, that's it.

Most elite bball prep schools in America are the same way. Iirc, Findlay's only enrollees are bball players.

I don't disagree, the question is what college is this prep tied to? Everyone knows that Findlay is tied to UNLV, founded by and funded by Cliff Findlay (a major UNLV donor)

Google.....founded by Isiah Anderson. Went to Valley Forge Military Academy and was in the army....at first glance nothing major to see for connections to a certain college.

Most preps have no affiliation, intended or unintended. They send kids to different colleges all over the country. Even Findlay sends kids to multiple division 1 schools every year.

Mali must be the tallest country in the world, because every time I hear about somebody from there, they are at least 6'-8". :jimlad:

The more offers he gets, the more credible he becomes IMO

ISU should be near the top of the list no matter who recruits due to the huge opening at the 4/5 with an elite backcourt returning. I hope we get this guy.

I agree and it should help slightly that he's a foreign kid who may not be as enthralled with the school's history etc.

It could help a little that Malou will be here.

The wildcard is whether or not he has a handler who's looking for some $$$

Speaking of front court transfers, what ever happened to the guy from UNLV? Goodluck Okonoboh? Did he disappear off the face of the earth? Haven't heard anything about another school and he left UNLV way before 2nd semester, I'm pretty sure.
