Boozer's assault happened before FH really even started on the job. And if there are other issues, those obviously started well before.
Which really makes you wonder what action McD had been taking on it, or if he was even aware of these apparently serious issues.
I guess I disagree with most on this site. To me charles is a cyclone and isu should help him if he has a problem do not just throw him and other out.when john majors was coach me and several of my friends had concerns and problems.coach was there for us he always said we were a family and he was our dad.when he recurited us he told our parents he would take care of us.I am not saying keep charles on the team. He has a redshirt year use it. And help him with his problem.
He said he talked with Fred. Who's to say this isn't what they decided was the best way to help him?
It really shouldn't. If this problem started just this last season ther's a good chance that we would have never known of any discipline. I'm not saying it did or id didn't, just a theory.
This sucks. He was really growing into a leader in the past few months. At least he recognizes this and is treating before it is completely out of hand.
I will try not to send it to the cave, but imo domestic assault is not worse than other forms of assault. I am aware that it comes with harsher penalty, mainly being because it has been defined as males assaulting females...again when it comes to assault there are horrible double-standards. Do victims of assault that are also gay face the same scruntiy?
I'm not trying to tell you what your opinion should be. FWIW I have prosecuted females who assaulted males for violation of Iowa's domestic abuse assault laws as well as males who assaulted females. Read Iowa Code Sections 708.2A and 236.2. Domestic Abuse Assault is NOT defined as a crime committed by a man against a woman. Iowa's law is applicable to men and women of any sort-- homosexual, heterosexual. bisexual, or whatever other descriptor you'd care to apply.

I know it is not defined in the actual law that way, but rather by public perception...which largely influences how the law is carried out. Do you not agree that statistic show there is a double standard in the courts for similar crimes committed by by men and women? How about the propaganda filled law textbook Domestic Violence Law by Berkley professor Nancy K.D. Lemon?

Sorry, but I strongly disagree with you. In fact, I don't think you could be more wrong. Hitting a guy and hitting a woman are completely different things.
Men get in fights. It happens. Sometimes for good reasons, most of the times not. But two guys fighting happens. Most guys I know have been in fights. None would raise a hand against a woman.
A guy beating on a woman? Totally different scenario. No comparison.
Hitting a girl is worse than hitting a guy if that is what you are talking about in domestic assault. There is no question about it.

You scrap with a guy at a bar in a fair fight - you sit for a couple games. Drop the pimp hand on a girl and you show a lack of character that effectively and immediately revokes your priviledge to be a Cyclone.
You're saying there is no situation in which a woman can beat a man just like a man beats a woman? You're saying there is absolutely never been a case of a woman doing the exact same thing to a guy that you are blasting guys for doing to women?
There is a difference between a fight and one sided violence. Usually one sided violence is man vs woman, but that does not have to be the case.
if what was just reported on KCCI is true and the statement is true which he admits to having issues and the rumor of who the victim may be is true, there was no choice in this situation. Handle it quickly, get the story back to the positive changes going on in the MBB program - and that is exactly what it appears they have done.
