Charles Boozer To Transfer

Would anyone WANT him on the team after this anyways? Every single game we would have to deal with opposing fans yelling and harassing him.

That's a shame that this has happened. He represented the school very well and I wish him the best of luck.

Yeah, with the exception of that time he pushed down and kicked that woman which caused us to lose yet another player, not to mention the poor woman who he assaulted.

I too wish him and all other women beaters the best of luck in their future endeavors.

This is true. Anyone remember the Pierre Pierce game in Hilton that caused Alford to make the big televen implement a no heckling rule.

That would be Sharron Collins from KU. Rubbing up with his pants down on a female Janitor in an elevator.

At least sherron is good and going to the NBA.. Which would you prefer, being grinded up on by an NBA player or slapped and kicked while you were down by Iowa State's 7th man?

Too bad, I don't recall him getting into trouble before this. Regardless, this is one issue you don't really get a second chance on. I'm glad he left on his own, I would hope he would have been gone anyway. There is no room for this kind of thing.

I didn't realize crimes done to you are more acceptable when committed by bigger stars.

I believe Pro Sports made this the norm.

and (i hate bringing it up) but the University of Iowa is guilty of this as well.

In cases of violence against women, parting ways is a no-brainer. Its not case of boys being boys or a stupid mistake like an OWI or possession or something where there was no intent to cause harm.

Were not Nebraska, who in the past regularly condoned and sheltered players who assaulted women in much worse fashion then this.

Really surprised this happened. Hopefully everything works out in the end for the victim and Charles. He must have some issues.

Would it be more acceptable if the victim was a male?
The fact the alleged victim was a female should have no impact on how severe Charles case is handled.

Welcome to America. The year is 2010 and you are on planet earth.

Yeah, bigger stars get away with it, right. But I was referring to the victim's viewpoint. The post which I answered was:

Which inferred that the victim should feel better about Sherron than Boozer because Sherron is a bigger star. I don't think if you are being violated, it matters who is doing it.

Read before you call me clueless.

What is this concept of "reading" that you speak of? :jimlad:

Perhaps it was not that the alleged victim is female per se.
Would it matter to you if she/he was someone with whom he'd been involved in an intimate relationship?

If not...perhaps you should lobby our legislators to do away with the domestic abuse assault laws. The laws themselves are written to treat domestic abuse assaults as being more serious than other assaults of the same degree. I believe the rationales for such laws are widely discussed and known so I will not cite them.
