Charles Boozer To Transfer

I'm not sure it's all that "dumb" to speculate he may be gone, considering he reportedly isn't going to class...or at least hadn't been....
I'm actually glad this thread talks about what Boozer did being stupid instead of "oh no we lost another player". He wasn't any good. That's why he has spent 3 years on the bench. Now we can give a scholly to someone that might make a contribution. I'm ready to see all of GMAC's players be gone myself. Nothing personnel against them.
Why trash Boozer? CB hustled and played hard as a role player off the bench.
Boozer made a terrible mistake. And after his long talk with Hoiberg, Boozer realized that he needed some help and that he would just be a major distraction to the Cyclone Program when it did not need this type of distraction.
So Boozer "manned up" and took responsibility for his bad behavior. Boozer left the BB team because he "loved the Cyclones". As Hoiberg said, it was decided that it was best for Charles Boozer to seek treatment and leave the Cyclone BB Program.
Both Boozer and Hoiberg deserve compliments for the way they resolved this problem.
I think the people are now expecting the worse scenario after four years of gmac.

Well, that's just flawed logic. Each team can give out 13 scholarships. Only 5 players can start. More than 5 play in a game. Just because you don't start doesn't mean you aren't valuable.
I dont think we should use this as a time to bash his playing ability. He provided a much needed spark off the bench. Its not a huge loss, but a loss. Boozer loved playing for Iowa State and chose to stick through all the crap when others bolted, there is something to be said for that. He messed up. Everyone does, lets leave it at that.
I felt he could be the player who could maybe really step up his game next year.
Really. What resolve are you speaking of? Bozzer errrr booooozer beats up a girl then decides he needs treatment and leaves. How about not beating up the girl in the first place. Some resolve.
Does he really deserve any credit for the situation. A situation where most would not have beaten up the girl in the first place. Honestly, the guy is a complete tool and hasn't done anything to atone for his problems. But hey give the guy props. "Gee golly, he sure did resolve things, what a swell guy".

Yes Boozer screwed up and did something pretty bad, but a lot of people have done worse and made excuses. The important thing is he manned up and took responsibility and is planning on doing something about it, so I give him credit, and maybe Fred helped. Props to both of them.
