CF strongest man

We must have some real young'ns on here if they don't remember Rampton. I'm 23 and remember the guy. Those were some great days to be a fan of Cyclone basketball.

FYI...I don't think Rampton could bench that much...but there was a certain other forward from Morning Sun, IA on Rampton's team that probably could. He also could make a hook shot off the glass in big games unlike Tony.

Bench- 170
Squat(parallel)- 225
clean- eh..

ik it doesnt sound like much, but i did wrestle at just 119 this year.

So why do the rosters on Cyclones.com only go back 4 seasons for the men and back to 73-74 for the women. Don't the men keep track?

Not sure why they don't have them on the site. They do keep track of every player and their stats while at ISU...all that info can be found in the media guide which is on Cyclones.com in pdf form. Just click on Encyclopedia for all that stuff.

Bench: 245
Squat: 310
Clean: 235

I was an above average HS bball/football player, but as some background I am almost 6'3" or 6'4" 210 lbs with a wingspan way above what i should for my height. I remember a kid with T-Rex arms on our team who was our #3 weight room lifter behind only 2 other kids (one of whom just finished his career at Iowa State and was our classes best overall athlete.) I could easily knock that kid on his *** down after down after down on the practice field - just another small scale example of how #'s in the weight room don't add up. When you have arms long like mine it takes a LOT more effort to lift the weight multiple reps...

So I know people love to look at a FB player or BBall players stats in the weight room, but it is very true that those #'s can be overrated.

Play ne ball any where?

Doesn't bench suck when you're tall? I had a biddy that was barrell chested with short arms and I swear the bar moved four inches and he was locked out, meanwhile I gotta throw it up like 2 and a half feet, no fair!
