How good was Dorsey-Walker last year in the Cap City League?
From the two articles i read he went 4-8 in one game from 3 pt range, and the other he scored 21 pts. Probably similar stats to what Bluford is averaging this year.

we graduate 3 players after the 13-14 season, 4(including Bluford) after the 14-15 season, or 3(excluding bluford)/4(including Bluford) after the 15-16 season. So it wouldn't mess up the class balance at all if Bluford red shirted.
Ouch. That hurt.
I like how people that disagree with my viewpoint always point out that I'm on their ignore list or being added to their ignore list like that is gonna effect me in any way. Ha. Too funny.

On topic....Bluford had a hell of a dunk tonight and had a nice midrange game going. And Niang and Hogue could charge admission for their smack talk and jawing back and forth. Made their game that much more fun.

I just don't see redshirting a JUCO guard. Maybe a post player but not a shooter.
Bluford was brought in to be an offensive spark off the bench. That is the role he'll provide whether its this year or 2015. There's no sense in keeping a guy like that on the bench for an extra year IMO.
We need to worry about offense this year, not in 2015.
If he can't provide a shooting touch by his 3rd year, there's not much to be gained by keeping him an extra year.

SDW: another off night tonight. However, I liked that he wasn't afraid of (and actually consistently initiated) contact on his drive. He was shooting so poorly his frustration was quite transparent.
Nader: only saw a few minutes, but I liked what I saw. He has the tools. He showed a surprisingly good handle and body control. You can tell he likes to shoot the three as he had his hands up in shooting position calling for the ball. He already is strong. I think a year in Fred's training camp will do wonders. I am excited to see what he can do in a year.
Thomas: much better tonight. He was stroking from outside, and his midrange game / floater was very impressive. He also showed his vision. I know this will get ripped, but he reminded me of a slightly slower young (Santa Clara) Steve Nash. If he can improve his lateral quickness and defense, he will have a chance to play point at the next level. Key word = chance.
Naz: only saw a glimpse, but again showed solid improvement. I think he, Blu and SDW will split the backup SG / SF minutes pretty evenly depending on performance and effort in practice, but I think Naz will actually see a few more minutes (unless Fred corrects Blu's form quickly). I say this despite seeing in person SDW's 67 point game.
Hogue: solid tonight. He surprised me by hitting a couple jump shot threes and by showing already improved form on his three point shot. Fred appears to already be helping. If he can force guys to guard him behind the arc, what a difference that would make. As a side note, it was fun watching him and Georges go at it.
Blu: was sick on in the first half. Once Fred corrects his form, you'll really like this kid. That being said, he will never pass up a shot, kind of like McGee. He will stay in when he is hot, and play only a little when he is not.
Georges / Bubu: nothing new to share.
Morris / Edozie: didn't see enough to report anything noteworthy.

Maybe he could work with Fred on his stroke- but that is what the next 4 months are for. I have a question on Bluford and I think it will be very key in how much he plays. How quickly does he get the ball off in a contested situation. McGee was so good (about as good as you'll see) at getting his feet set, catching, elevating and shooting so frickin quickly. That's what made him. Of course he could step into them to but his ability to do everything on balance was amazing.
I could actually understand redshirting Naz , much more than a JUCO, but I bet he feels like he's already sat out a year since he played very little last year especially from January til the end of the season. Hopefully SDW is able to flush his frustration when the shots aren't following once the big lights come on. Gotta let the previous miss go. Surely will be motivated to keep working on the shot, though, and continue to work on other parts of his game.
He has a pretty quick release but he doesn't have the pure stroke that tyrus had. What made McGee so special was his balance and ability to square himself up in the air. I don't see bluford having that in his game but who know he might. There's not really an opportunity to come off screens for a catch and shoot in the CCL so there really isn't a way to judge him on that unless you've seen live practice.
