No Kane. Nader is here though but I had to leave early to catch the Cardinals game. I'll have more of a report when I get home.
Sorry about the false Kane sighting....I saw an Iowa State guy that I didn't recognize and forget about Nader.
Saw the first two games and half the last game. The Iowa State guys all shot bad all night, it seemed. I am going to blame it on weight lifting.
For some reason I thought that Nader was built like Will, but he is bigger. He shot the 3 well and is pretty quick off the dribble. We could like him, I think.
I continue to be impressed by Naz. And I like Edozie quite a bit every time I see him. You can tell he takes even the CCL pretty seriously. He got the ball to start his game and made a post move and you could practically see his brain moving. I don't know how that translates to real games, but he'll work hard.

SDW and Thomas were off most of the game but their team is really bad and they played the whole game. SDW was visibly frustrated all game. For those people who say the players don't care because its only the CCL. SDW was frustrated all game and in the first half he came to the bench and hit a chair so hard that I'm sure everyone heard it. He still did alright and my excitement level for him is still a 10. I'll have more in a little bit.

First impression of Nader is VERY positive. Big, fast, decent handle, better shooter than I would have guessed, finishes at the rim, etc. Definitely a keeper IMO. He and Georges will be an exciting tandem in the future.
So I'm guessing that AJ turner took a look at the facilities today and wasn't just here to watch a CCL game?
I like SDW's competitive spirit. I don't love that he is a ball hog even considering it is the CCL. But he is young and will learn.
Oh and the other thing that is different this year than it has been the past few years.....the players really don't stick around for any other games. They all come in with girls (and they ALL have girls....) a little while before their games and then leave pretty much after them. All other things being equal, I would think that for team chemistry it would be better if they stuck around. But not a big deal at all, just a difference from the transfer era.
I know, but that other kid that kind of looks like Matt (#33 maybe?) was hitting it pretty good in the 2nd half and so was Matt. I just felt like the way SDW's shot was looking in the 2nd half, either he needed to drive or pass. Because the 3 wasn't there.
And every team in the CCL is basically dependent on the Iowa State guys and that doesn't keep just about every other player from passing at least occasionally.
I had heard that SDW was behind Naz and Bubu in March. And frankly I can see it. And I suspect that if SDW doesn't get the playing time that those that have bought into the CCL legend, it is going to cause a lot of people to get upset. SDW is going to be next years message board fight.
And I really like him....I just don't know that he is going to be more than a 12 minute guy next year. But he will only be a freshman.
