Cameron Lard Eligible at Semester?

Can we start Lard next year like CW mentioned without him playing some this year?

If he's not good enough to average a double/double this year with zero practices and having never been on campus or to a class, no way he can start next year. Dud. Major fizzle. Next man in. :)

5-10 MPG would help the transition from missing his senior year of high school to starting in the Big12.

I get his point, but he couldn't have made it any less clear.

He's a nice enough guy but his articles are usually pretty incoherent.

the sad thing is he clearly gets his story ideas from the worst threads that cf has to offer, playing perfectly in to the worst part of our fanbase.

Off topic. Anyone having issues with Cyclonefanatic? Page won't load as usual both on my phone and computer, was just wondering if you are all going through the same. Thanks

I have to use either IE or Firefox at work. IE is useless and I have about 5 minutes on firefox before it starts acting up. Very few problems with Chrome on my iphone though.

If he's eligible and the staff feels he could help the team, then why not play him?

He may never have as good of a guard court to play with than he has this year. Obviously I hope I'm wrong on that and future guard courts at ISU will be even better, but you never know.

They will if that's the case. I'm guessing he won't be able to help the team this year but maybe I'll be wrong

In addition if he plays this year and gains experience it will likely improve his game for next year.

Well him just being on campus and playing with/against the team in practice will help him. He has only missed 11 games, but lets remember he hasn't practiced yet with any of the players there will be some ramp up time for Prohm to trust him. It is basketball, and players talent can demand he see the court, the question is how quickly can Prohm and the Team trust him to contribute. If quickly (mid-January) then let him play or if not red shirt, either way just get him on campus and with the team is the most important thing as of today. I am just waiting for conformation that has happened before mulling roster rotations.

No, but he hasn't played much organized basketball in the last couple of years. He has to learn our offense and defense.

I agree, our front court will provide him with plenty of opportunity.

Not sure all the active players know the offense and defense!

For Lard to play this year, I think he has to be significantly more talented than the post guys we have. If that is the case, wow did we get a steal but that is asking a lot of a freshman post player.

I'd love to see him get some minutes this year. Kids barely redshirt in basketball any more. He is a special circumstance of course, but if he blows up next year we will be wishing we had him this year as well.
