I'm going to say Ames vs. Linn-Mar obviously, Ames wins 76-50.

IC West got in only because the best player on City, Malcom Moore, was ineligible because of grades. West will get their butts whooped against Ames and it won't even be funny. It's opposing interests for me, because HB is on Ames, but I will root for my school because I know some guys on the team pretty well. Prediction: Ames 83, IC West 51.

I have to give a shout out for the high school that I graduated from, Central Lee.

Central Lee is located in Southeast Iowa and is in class 2A. The boys basketball team made the state tournament for the first time in school history. They will be playing top ranked Solon. Here's hoping for a huge upset!

Did anyone else here see the last Ames championship? I was a junior in 1991, got to see them stomp through the tourney, absolutely crushed North with Hurl Beechum and I think beat Waterloo West pretty easily too. I always said that Ames team was one of the best all-time Iowa highschool teams. This years team might be better. I definitely need to get to a game, maybe the title game...

Ames will just romp through the state tourney. The way it's set up makes it very easy to make it to the championship, and from what I have seen from Linn-Mar, they don't look to be that good this year

I don't see this happening, in fact I see Ames having a cold shooting night and NOT winning the title. Bank it

Ames could go 0-15 from 3 and still win the state title by 10. Tough to miss too many dunks and layups and their defense is stifling.

They're not all about the three. They can score wherever and whenever they want. The three ball comes from people focusing on Harrison in the middle. They play a very well inside out game, that's where they get all their threes from.
