Bowl Situation Thread

I don't know that this is a good thing for us. I read that to mean that our chances of being an at-large are slim, so chances of the Pinstripe are greater.

I think it means that Mizzou is expewcting the B12 to look out for teams staying in the conference ie ISU and lock them into games and make Mizzou find whats left

So, I type in Iowa State in the twitter search to see where people are thinking we might go for bowl games. Instead, I get everyone saying how bad of a loss we were for OSU and how much we suck. It's pathetic how clueless people are.

IDK why but all the hawk fans were bashing us badly on twitter yesterday. Saying how 6 wins was considered as a success is sad and that Iowa has a bad team and still has more wins than a good ISU team :realmad:. I know there are a few good hawks but their fan base is a joke.

Michigan is 12th in the coaches and TCU 15th. I thinkthat gets Michgan into top 14 but its going to come down to harris for TCU to get into top 16

Its all going to come down to the Harris poll. A poll that has had a habit of not allowing rematches. Its also going to be really close to see if TCU makes the top 16 right now i'd say no

No. 2 Crimson Tide were picked second on 42 of the 59 ballots and third on all the others.

Oklahoma State did its best to state a case to move up. The Cowboys did climb to No. 3 in the poll, up from fifth a week ago, and claimed the other 17 No. 2 votes thanks to a 44-10 demolition of archrival Oklahoma in the Bedlam showdown. But that doesn't figure to be enough to overcome Alabama's edge in the BCS standings, which also include the Harris Interactive poll and an average of six computer formulas.

So is worst case scenario having Ok State left out of title game, only 1 Big XII team in BCS and Iowa State in Pinstripe?

Can OSU please play in the National title game?

I don't like what I see in the latest USA Today poll. TCU is up to 15th. Here's the run down of the points that will go toward the BCS. Based off the new rankigns Baylor and Va Tech are safe to finish above TCU in the BCS in my opinion.

MSU - .1661
Clemson - .1485
TCU - .1426
Houston - .1225
Georgia - .1216
Oklahoma - .0988

It's really going to come down the wire.

MSU is probably going to get dinged in the computers. They were 16th last week and TCU was 18th. MSU needs to stay ahead of TCU in the Harris poll.

Clemson is going to be close too. It will be close in computers and Harris most likely.

Georgia will have to make up ground in the computers, which they might. Saragin moved them from 14th to 11th with the loss.

Oklahoma will have a huge computer lead...but I honestly didn't see them getting killed this bad in the polls. It will be close.

Houston I think is screwed. The Saragin killed them...I expect TCU to pass them.

So Michigan is in a BCS bowl. TCU is #15. Hopefully they don't make it, but it's going to be very close.
