Agreed. Wednesday against OU beats Thursday against K-State, Baylor, Texas
I just want them to get a win. Those kids need it.
Win @ Baylor on Saturday and not worry about it!
Right now it seems more likely that we would lose to whoever we play in KC. I don't want another loss to OU. Plus if we do get hot, you don't want that extra game.
FWIW, ISU has done better against the teams ahead of them than the teams behind them.
Better chance of picking up some momentum against OU than Baylor/Kstate.
And I'm going regardless, much easier to get a courtside ticket for a Wednesday night game than a Thursday quarterfinal.
Assuming we lose to Baylor this is how it works.
OSU Wins- Highest seed of play-in teams
OSU loses- we play Thursday as the lowest seed

OSU loses- we play Thursday as the lowest seed
Thursday. I will never cheer for playing Wednesday night in KC.
I'm not sure we're capable of beating Oklahoma, but I'd rather a shot at them over any of Baylor/K-St/Texas in the quarterfinals. That said, I don't really want them playing 2 games in the Big 12 Tournament, so maybe Thursday is a better answer?
The reality of the situation is depressing. We have 3 guards total, and about to enter a tournament setting in which teams with good guard play perform the best. Pretty bleak outlook, even if there is a morale boost sans Grill.

Part of me thinks the team might be able to pull out a win whether they play OU (7 v. 10) on Wednesday or Baylor (3 v. 6) on Thursday. I suspect our players will be a lot more interested playing in Kansas City than Baylor especially if Baylor just beat us 6 days ago. OU will be playing for their tournament lives if they still care.

The only reason to vote Wednesday is if you think playing OU guarantees us a victory which it doesn't Now, it may be more likely than a win over Baylor, but also remember that a loss to OU might hurt more than a win helps.
