Huge wins for both West Virgina and TCU yesterday. Props to both of them for battling but it was evident in that TCU game that the drop off at quarterback when Adam's left was too much for Oregon to overcome. Some said that same thing about TCU as well after Boykin got arrested but no matter how you slice it having those 2-3 extra days helps when it comes to losing your starting quarterback. Oregon had no extra time whatsoever and ultimately when your 2nd string center can't get your back up quarterback the football there's going to be issues. I would argue they had just as many issues defensively as they did offensively. The credit should go to TCU's 2nd string, what a story with that kid. I can't imagine how hard it would be to play that recently after your father passes away, let alone to play that well.
The WVU game was a dogfight and they deserved to win that game. It likely should've been by more IMO as there were numerous coaching Gafs by Todd Graham. One of them goes back to a thread I started 2 weeks ago about going for 2. It further justified my point in that thread about coaches not understanding the game of football from a statistical standpoint. 4.56 left last night, ASU down by 1 and they score a TD. Does Todd keep his offense out there? Nope...Kicks the PAT. If that's what earns you a 2.8 million dollar salary and a 200k bonus this year, then sign me up. Either that or he had a personal bet on his guys at +1.5.......
