Who do you think wins Big 12 Coach of the Year? I think it will be one of three:
  • Bill Self: 13 straight conference titles
  • Brad Underwood: 9-1 in their last 10, after starting conference 0-6
  • Steve Prohm: 6-1, win at Kansas, and has the team tied for 2nd in the Big 12
  • Other....

Hate to say it, but this is a year Self should get it winning the B12 with separation and only getting one fake win from the refs. Prohm easily has the best case for #2 as of today.

Mason deserves PotY but the bigger story is that Mason is also the most improved player from a year ago and a coach should get credit when a 4th year guy makes that kind of improvement.

If ISU or OSU wins out it should be very close.

If OSU wins out, they'd have to win at Hilton and then beat Kansas. That is about as tough of a final two game stretch the Big12 can offer. And that would make them 11-1 in their last 12 with the loss being double OT to us. So, OSU winning out is not happening.

I'd give it to Prohm if Iowa State were to win out. 6 road wins, 3 top 10 wins if WVU moves up, 2nd in the conference, 1-1 head to head with Self.

people are actually voting for prohm when kansas is about to win their 13th conference title lol

Self will win and probably should win. Underwood and prohm deserve it as well, but self really is a cut above the rest. To paraphrase the Big Lebowski: "the rug really ties that team together."

Sick of Self. Not the best Kansas team, but Mason and Jackson are probably the two best players in the conference, so no huge accomplishment there.

Underwood has gotten this team to win some more games than Ford did, but Ford left a lot of talent. Not sure how well Underwood is really recruiting.

Prohm inherited four solid guys from the Hoiberg era, but Deonte and Thomas have developed greatly under his tutoring. Naz has hit another gear this year, and being able to manufacturing something out of nothing in the post and make Solomon Young -- a 2* under the radar guy -- into a solid contributor as a freshman is a pretty good record.

Yes, homer post here, but eh, this is CF.

If we tie for second with WVU or win it outright, I think it has to be Prohm.
