I don’t understand why the announcers doing hok games talk so much about how good they are when they are down by 15 to 20 and getting their asses kicked, and how good they are going to be in the future even though that has never happened since Francis has been there
It’s the same way announcers were talking about us during the Greg McDermott years. They do that with all bad teams.

Connor's teammate who Connor and Patrick ripped to shreds on social media for winning it. Can't remember his name but similar games

Joe Smoldt from Reinbeck?

I believe the Mad Lites said he was unworthy since he went to a small school. (Chris Street played his freshman year in Humeston.)

They were down 27 yesterday and the BTN announcers were saying the Hawks were a team nobody would want to draw in the b1g tournament. I can only assume they meant because it would drag down their RPI.

I just read somewhere that Fran has been ejected from more games at Iowa than he has NCAA wins (3 vs 2). So he has that going for him. Also, there are these nuggets from QC Times

--Here is an ugly stat in a season full of them: In nine true road games this season, the Hawkeyes have trailed by 17 or more points at some point in all but one of them. The only exception is their loss at Iowa State back in December. The good news is that there are only two more road games — at Michigan on Wednesday and at Minnesota the following Wednesday.

--Jordan Bohannon had a decent game for Iowa — 11 points, five assists — but he had one especially bad sequence with about a minute left in the first half. Ohio State’s C.J. Jackson picked Bohannon clean and took off with the ball up the right side. Jackson nearly lost the ball on his way up the court, allowing Bohannon to scramble back and get in front of him, but Jackson just blew past him again and took it to the hoop for a 3-point play. It allowed the Buckeyes to push their lead to double digits for the first time.

-Article on how all former Iowa players are still sub-par at their new (usually lower level) schools. http://qctimes.com/sports/columnist...cle_8a52682e-35a2-55de-a76d-446bb6b9bb27.html

“They don’t really have anyone on the roster who plays like me,” Dickerson told the Sioux Falls Argus Leader. “The coaches told me it could be a great fit for me and the program.”

Then again, maybe not.

He hasn’t started a single game for the Hoyas, is averaging 11.9 minutes per game, shooting 38.5 percent from the field and 20 percent from 3-point range and providing just 3.3 points per game.

This really made me laugh. Ya, I guess they didn't have anyone a bad as him is what he really meant.

Pretty clear that Fran is recruiting for the MVC and playing in the Big 10.

I was driving down the road and about spit my water out when Gary credited Iowa's high scoring offense for the reason OSU sold out yesterday for the 1st time in "X" number of years. Yeah I'm sure being in 1st place in the conference had nothing to do with their attendance:rolleyes:.

Are you sure he didn't say Iowa's high scoring defense? I mean everyone does like to see there team have a great offensive game and the Hawk are more than capable of giving up 100 any night.
