***Big 10 Thread***

I was driving down the road and about spit my water out when Gary credited Iowa's high scoring offense for the reason OSU sold out yesterday for the 1st time in "X" number of years. Yeah I'm sure being in 1st place in the conference had nothing to do with their attendance:rolleyes:.

We listened to their game on our drive home too. So many times we asked, "Do their fans believe what Dolph and Bobby sell? Surely, they've watched this team." Glad we have John and Eric!

Not at all surprisingly. Fran has given up on the season, and his team has followed him on that.

He got that nice, fat guaranteed extension from Barta, so why not give up now, right? This will probably be his last job, so he's basically already in retirement now.

Barta is lazy. It was easier for him to give Fran that big buyout, instead of having to get a search committee together to look for a new coach. Might have to work for a change. Instead just can kick back and eat donuts!

Looks like Weiskamp doesn't have the greatest help on his team. 35 points a game is pretty impressive.

Weiskamp is a good player, but 35 points/gm on 20 shots/gm and 10 FTA/gm isn’t impressive as much as it is odd. Presumably he’s getting double and tripled yet that’s not leading to significant open looks for teammates? I guess that’s why they’re not going anywhere this postseason.

I thought he was a better 3P shooter? Anyways, he reminds me of a slightly taller Gatens.

Wow, I didn't realize his 3P percentage was that low. That should be concerning for Iowa fans. He's not going to be physically superior to Big 10 players like he is in the MVC or whatever conference it is over there. His teammates must be awful.

Jorbo: Losing is good. If we hadn't lost as much as we have in the past, we'd never have ended up in this loser program. And that's exciting because we have another opportunity at Michigan to prepare for our future of losing.

That kid is a living Instagram quote.

Does Fran cull some of his MVC guys this offseason? Poor Uhl should have transferred after he showed some promise his freshman year.

Kriner, Wagner, Pemsl, etc should give UNI a look. UNI will have some nice guards and Jacobson would get more out of those guys.

I'm guessing Ellingson moves on as a grad transfer, but who knows? Fran is loyal to a fault. If the kid wants to stay because he likes Iowa City, is OK playing 7 minutes, etc., I don't see Fran pushing them out.

Pemsl would have been a great player for Jake.

You guys got it all wrong, Fran realizes how badly he has screwed up the recruiting classes, so he is going to lose the rest of the games on purpose so that 5 or so of the non-athletic 6' 7" guys on his roster get fed up and quit. Then he can go out and recruit some basketball players that can defend. Pure genius.

Pemsl seems like he doesn't want to leave. I'm guessing one of the freshman bigs leave, another post player and Ellingson
