Barnes to Hawaii

Looks like we need some more coaches to get fired so that we can fill our roster.

Our new motto can be: "Instant Start."

Our basketball program is in a lot of trouble.

I mean we are talking early 90's ISU football bad.

What hope is there? And why?

I guess we should just have faith. It truly is in the best of hands in McD and JP. Right...........

So basically now the staff is just looking at guys with questionable character, questionable academics and guys leaving other programs? You would think by year 5 of doing this we wouldn't be put in this predicament, but that's what happens when you have our coaching staff, I guess.

Looks like we have little choice at this point. We have to win ten. If Dendy is gone
and that is an if, we need somebody big under the hoop or we will be clobbered next year.

KG or CIMD,
Is the staff looking at either Kevin Noreen or Brady Heslip, both asked out of LOIs at BC? Are they looking at other players who have asked out of LOIs? Trying to find under the radar guys?

Thanks in advance.
NOt sure, but wouldn't mind either...Heslip can really shoot it, as can Noreen.

NO!! I just don't know that we 'wiffed', as we told him to take his trip (slow playing him).. Maybe their are other alternatives.

Everything is not all right. I'm really ready for positive news, i sure hope it's coming. I just know, no of us have ISU's list of recruits in front of us to know who's tops on the list... Maybe we did wiff, disappointing for sure if so.

I sure hope they have a plan, if not, well --- i'll be really confused.

btw - do we know REALLY about Dendy and Oliver? I've lost track...

I'm not sure you understand why we're getting really upset about this. Everytime we miss the excuse is "we didn't want him anyway" or "we backed off." If what is being said is true and we really didn't want these guys, considering where we stand as a program, are we really in a position to be turning nose up at even somewhat talented players interested in playing for us wnen the alternative is no players at all?

That last phrase is a really good question.

We're at the point now when the leftovers/everyone's last resorts are choosing to go everywhere else (UW-Milwaukee, Utah, TCU, Hawaii) rather than here, where playing time really is available, and lots of it.

Every opposing coach has to be using our instability as a powerful recruiting tool. Whatever they are trying, it's clearly working, since we're 0 for spring, with 4 open scholarships.

Does Mac have to explain to JP why kids are choosing elsewhere? Does Pollard ask why UH instead of ISU? It seems like the market(kids and their families) is pricing in a coaching change...and this nearly seems like a predictive indicator of where this is headed short-term(1 year).

I would think JP would have questions about our perfect spring batting average. Teams next year will have to be looking to press us and go uptempo. Score over 60, and we will have serious trouble keeping up.

Good thing we've got Nurse coming in, as we'll have no choice but to recruit overseas. Gotta get that far away to get to a place where we can *hope* that they havent heard how deep our program is in the *******.

This one does not bother me. I was never excited about Bo for whatever reason..just a guy feel.

We need bodies, but I think this is not a bad thing.

Wow. I just keep thinking it can not get any worse but GMAC just keeps pulling us further and further down. In my wildest dreams I never thought ISU would be this pathetic of a program. Hawaii... Come on!
