I guess Drake won’t work because they’re non-scholarship. Southern and Presbyterian are interesting possibilities for 12/1 that wouldn’t require a NCAA wavier. Southern got destroyed by TCU today. Presbyterian tried to schedule an FBS school but couldn’t find one for this season

Iowa State has played a **** ton of night games. This is the first one cancelled in over 50 years.

Which is proof they had no contingency plan. If you want to give them a pass for believing a perfectly timed forecast of clear weather, sure whatever. But that doesn't change the fact it's clear they were unprepared and had no plan for a possible situation like this.

Right. They also do not play confernce championship games. That is due to their playoff system requiring as many as 4 postseason games. ,,, or maybe 5.

Yep. Southern works perfectly because they play in the SWAC, which doesn’t send it’s champion to the FCS playoffs.

I think we’ll see a really ****** FCS school on 12/1 unless ISU is in the Big 12 title game

Today sucked. I haven't been more excited for a football season EVER. I am unreasonably and perhaps unhealthily invested in Iowa State sports. I was so mad/disappointed tonight that instead of staying in a hotel, I drove home even though literally my biggest fear is driving heavy rain.

But even, I with all of those ******* ridiculous issues knows that there was nothing that could have been done.

What really sucks is this team has no Game 1 faults and fixes heading into Iowa city...and they do. Really really not good.

Stanley didnt hvae a very good game throwing today...which means he got rid of the rust and will go like 30/35 and 4 TD’s like last year.

If 7pm was the best forecast compared to earlier in the day, then fine I understand that reasoning. But now Pollard is using the rain excuse for not playing Sun/Mon. You can play in rain. So he wants us to believe it's going to lightning for 48 straight hours? i just checked and there are forecasted times of no rain or storms, so why isn't he believing that forecast?

I don't care about any fan disappointment. Figure out a way to play the game. Heck, go play in the UNI dome tomorrow if that's an option.
