Anyone else wish they weren't born a Cyclone

Heard the Mets owners loss $300 million to the Ponzi scheme on wall street. It may soon suck to be a Mets fan. Theuy may not be able to pay for their stadium.

Hey, we played it close for the first half. We have not had a full game out of football or bball yet. Something to look forward to...

No way! yeah its rough but im a CYCLONE through thick and thin, I'll take being an Iowa State fan anyday, no matter how bad it gets then being any other teams fan especially a hawkeye. We can be the doormat forever and id still be a clone over a hawkeye.

so my clones are in dire situations, the mets are screwed, what's next? your gonna tell me jay cutler has diabetes?

i wouldnt want to be a USC fan or anything like that and just expect to make a national championship every year.. wheres the excitement there? So we sit back living the life of "Rudy" for years until that one game where coach puts us in the game.. then its on

Being a Cyclone fan on the worst of days is better then being a sky carp fan on the best of days....... And you know I have plenty of evidence backing up that statement.

Wouldn't trade it for anything though....

Like many -- how many are really born a Cyclone? I would guess a large number are like me. You grew up a Hawkeye but converted when you attended ISU.

Let's be honest. Why the heck would you voluntarily pick us to cheer for if you didn't attend school in Ames (or had some other similar connection)?

Yes. This latest deal with Chizek has me bitter.

...and the Hawk fans are headed to Tampa. ;(

I love the Clones and have two degrees. I am also a Bengals fan. Getting kicked in the junk is kind of a lifestyle for me. I am getting philosophical about it all. There are so many true tragedies in the world that it kind of puts sports in perspective.

URBCLONE- the bigger question is why we both chose the Bengals!!!

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Iowa to go to ISU...hard not to be a die hard cyclone fan after being there 4 years, and tonight really sucks, but I think this is kinda the fun in being a Cyclone fan...never know what's gonna happen next

Been following them since '75. Way too late for me to walk away now. Dang, I didn't think there were any others in Central Iowa. Good to know that you are part of the club!

It means more when the Cyclones are good this way. After all the crazy **** that has happened to us we deserve some good times, just have faith they'll be here.

At least we will always have Hilton Magic, Jack Trice Tailgaiting, and other great cyclone traditions that no matter how bad our teams are won't go away.

I wasn't born a cyclone but became a fan while I was an ISU student. I'm actually an alumni of both Iowa State and Oregon State but follow Cyclone sports far more than I do the Beavers.

I really wonder at times why I devote so much attention to ISU when the Beavers have accomplished so much more.

You should have been at Drake Stadium last May when a cyclone won the NCAA 10k and nearly lapped the entire field. The whole state was cheering for the clone.
