Another Point of View

The local news media makes sure that everyone is informed of what is acceptable and what is not. When Kansas fans rarely become out control they are escorted out immediately. The Kansas administration tries its best to prevent a negative reflection on the program from fans.

Please tell me at what point would KU fans in AFH have ever had a reason to get ****** enough for it to happen. The officiating is even more biased in favor of KU at home than it is on the road.

You want another viewpoint. Here goes. Ref swallows whistle, expects the layup to be made. To his surprise it didnt go in. Rebound is tipped before he can get the whistle back out of his throat(he apparently has learned to control his gag reflex)So now he has to call a foul or ku loses, blows the whistle gives ku the easy two. Thats my conspiracy theory for the night.

Everyone complains about officiating. It's the nature of the beast. Have you ever seen a perfectly officiated game? I didn't think so.

Fist yourself.

You know what they say about the administration, it's a reflection of their fans.

You're right. Seems I just read some Jayhawk fan and relative to James H. Hilton espouse this same point. And if a relative of James H. Hilton says it it MUST be true!

You need some self-introspection. The myth regarding Iowa State fans would appear to be true.

We'll see you in KC, beakers.

Btw, if the roles were reversed, and especially if KU was playing Mizzou at home, you guys and Saint Bill would be going ape-**** over that call and you know it.

Nope. But on balance the calls are about 100:1 for KU in AFH and about 10:1 (still for KU) on the road. Thats where you and other KU fans pointing out the individual bad calls against KU is bogus, because there were many, many more calls and non-calls that helped kansas than hurt kansas.

Have you ever seen a worse officiated final minute of regulation? I didn't think so.

Have you ever seen a conference head office issue a press release saying that their refs made egregious errors in the last minute of a game? It was a first for me too. So I can see why you're angry bro. It hurts having the league negate your W, doesn't it?

Have you ever seen a game that the officials didn't favor your team? I didn't think so. Just the favoritism of the beast. We get it you are butthurt because everyone that saw the game other than KU fans say ISU got hosed, and you don't like that. Everything should always go KU's way in basketball. What is this that is happening.

I for one hope that it opened everyones eyes and you don't get as many favorable calls in the future. Maybe that's what you are scared of.

have you ever seen an out of position ref call a guy for a foul with 5 seconds to go for having an opposing player land on top of him after taking an obvious charge? I mean for **** sakes he was standing in the same spot for the entire defensive set. ISU has been kicked in the nuts all season long on the road with heart breaking end of game loses, half court shots and banked threes. The only people in the nation who dont see that the end of game officiating ruined the game for ISU are Kansas fans, and iowa fans who hate ISU. Get over yourselves. You still get the W in the end, you are just pissy because everyone knows it was a fraud and you cant handle it.

Also from phog.net:

Are you kidding me? Fred Hoiberg couldn't spell class. A class act doesn't go whineing to the league about one no call. A class act realizes that there were alot more poor calls made other than that one call at the end. Fred Hoiberg showed no respect for K U or E J a player who put K U on his back and refused to let them loose. Instead (like a little child) Fred Hoiberg got all Butt hurt and started crying how they were cheated out of the win. Fred a bit of advice. Instead of takeing the time to go crying to the league office . Why not spend it with your team on the court teaching them how to play a little defense.

I'm a lifelong Kansas Jayhawk fan. The James H. Hilton Coliseum is named after one of my ancestors. I have family that lives in Iowa. Obviously, I only want the best for Iowa State.

“I would say, ‘Hey we were fortunate we got a no-call there,’†Self said. “It could have easily been a charge. (But) how many times at the end of games do you have no-calls in those situations? “We were fortunate. I will not say we weren’t. It could have easily been called and if it was I couldn’t have complained. On the flip side, there are a lot of calls in a game that you could say, ‘Maybe that could go the other way.’ It was a hard game to call. It’s gotten a lot of national attention. I guess the league office felt they had to make some sort of statement.â€

“If we are going to get in the business of publicly making statements off of every bad call, let’s go back to the opening tip,†Self said, “because there are a lot of times the third foul on a big guy in the first half is the difference between winning and losing or second foul with 15 minutes left if it’s a bad call can be difference between winning and losing. It was a good crew (Mark Whitehead, Tom O’Neill, Bert Smith). I don’t think our bench was ecstatic on the way the game was being called either. I don’t think their bench was. It was a hard game. There were good players making plays.â€

Frankly I don't care what you say.
Usually I don't blame the refs but I
Can't blame anything other than them this time.
Karma is a beeotch though.

You will get what's coming and probably be embarrassed in the NCAA tourney.
One seed going down to a 16? A distinct possibility if you get a #1 handed to you.
Unless we see you in the Big 12's first.
