I know what happens when people from Kansas cross breed with people from North Carolina...

My paternal family has lived in Lawrence for five generations. I grew up near Allen Fieldhouse and have known the Kansas coaches on a personal level. I am related to Hilton through my maternal family from North Carolina. He was an awesome individual, and I'm sure he is very proud!

Not of you. I'm sure you're an embarrassment to him.

The local news media makes sure that everyone is informed of what is acceptable and what is not. When Kansas fans rarely become out control they are escorted out immediately. The Kansas administration tries its best to prevent a negative reflection on the program from fans.

Oh well! Can't say that I've received a warm welcome. You may not even remember James H. Hilton but I'm proud. The Big 12 Conference acknowledges that officiating errors were made and they were made both ways or for and against both teams. However, the attitude that appears to be growing in your fanbase certainly is not good. Some say this is a reflection of the coach or administration. I sincerely hope not.

This is complete *********! You really think the Big 12 made a statement about the refs because they made bad calls against both teams?!? You CAN NOT possibly be serious?!? They had to make a statement because everyone in the country saw that the refs stole the game from Iowa State. Conferences don't make these kind of statements routinely. If you really believe what you are saying, then you have absolutely no objectivity (and you are a total *******).

The problem is you have chosen to come on here at a very bad time. We have had a season of really bad breaks, and had a win against a very good team taken away from us by poor officiating. The combination of these two things is why you're seeing this reaction; a fanbase can only take so much heart-breaking losses...

Nothing justifies the way a select few idiots acted and most of us on here have condemned them, but I guess I don't know why you would be welcomed with open arms after an emotionally draining loss.

I am disappointed in J.A. Hilton that he paid cheap hookers for sex.

For people replying to me about Young raising his hand, I never said it was good basketball, I said it was smart basketball. Smart basketball is also pushing and shoving and playing dirty if the refs aren't calling it, but that doesn't mean its good basketball

But they cannot do anything about idiot trolls with a keyboard? For Shame.

James H. Hilton would beat you with a crow bar and then drag you behind his pickup if he were still alive.

Seriously guys this mystery boy is just trying too keep the fire burning. I really wouldn't even respond to the little one any longer. I hope we get one more shot at them at the B12 tournament.

I'm a lifelong Kansas Jayhawk fan. The James H. Hilton Coliseum is named after one of my ancestors. I have family that lives in Iowa. Obviously, I only want the best for Iowa State.

“I would say, ‘Hey we were fortunate we got a no-call there,’†Self said. “It could have easily been a charge. (But) how many times at the end of games do you have no-calls in those situations? “We were fortunate. I will not say we weren’t. It could have easily been called and if it was I couldn’t have complained. On the flip side, there are a lot of calls in a game that you could say, ‘Maybe that could go the other way.’ It was a hard game to call. It’s gotten a lot of national attention. I guess the league office felt they had to make some sort of statement.â€

“If we are going to get in the business of publicly making statements off of every bad call, let’s go back to the opening tip,†Self said, “because there are a lot of times the third foul on a big guy in the first half is the difference between winning and losing or second foul with 15 minutes left if it’s a bad call can be difference between winning and losing. It was a good crew (Mark Whitehead, Tom O’Neill, Bert Smith). I don’t think our bench was ecstatic on the way the game was being called either. I don’t think their bench was. It was a hard game. There were good players making plays.â€

Your school is full of ********* crooks...always has been, always will be. Class it up KU. How about a dunk while our guys concede the game? Look out in KC MF.

Would that be the same administration that stole bball and football tickets from the AD and scalped them to they public for 2 million $$$?

I'm a lifelong Cyclone fan, but Phog Allan was my great grandfather and I really think the Flint Hills are pretty. So obviously I only want the best for University of Kansas. But I have to say that KU fans, players, and Bill Self are all really making a mockery of themselves. They know that they didn't deserve to win, but they are denying it to themselves and are attacking the school that got ripped off to make themselves feel better.

My grandpa Phog would be mortified with this behavior. He would think the KU fans, players and coaches were petty, foolish, immature, selfish, greedy, and idiotic. He would be embarrassed by all of them and he would disown KU entirely.

On phog.net:

"I was thinking the same thing. This is the most national publicity they have ever received."

Maybe they didn't hear about the time we helped fix the BCS system...... Then again it's probably hard to follow football when you haven't won a conference game since 2010.

No, that was ticket office employees, but the administration has taken steps to see that never happens again.

This is the most negative publicity that Kansas has ever received, and they can't handle it. Hence the constant butthurt trolls.
