Another Justin Hamilton Update

I know we've been over this before, but you and others keep posting **** like this, so I'm going to repeat it: I really don't think anyone who cheers for the Cyclones to lose can be considered a fan.

Bawbie I'm calling this the one step back to two steps forward approach...call me crazy for wanting to get rid of a coouach potato who needs to go back to Wayne State and rot!

Scholarships are annual. Not good form but nowhere near "nearly impossible".

They aren't really annual unless specified. You don't think the university would be in court if the player didn't want to leave and the schollie was pulled on performance/without cause. And I did say nearly impossible. Take a look at how often it happens and how hard it is to do if it wasn't stated up front/or the player didn't break the contract first.

Not sure the legal issues are of any concern. The big deal is the fact that you'd have a hard time getting guys to your program if schollies were contingent year to year.

Actually 2 different issues. A schollie that is annual is considered worse than one that isn't. That is true. And if you try handing those out to "real recruits" you'll get laughed at.

The other part is that most scholarships are hand out college carreer basis. And after that has been done, good luck pulling it for something not a significant disipline problem. Performance based pulling just isn't an option, unless the player sees the writing on the wall and agrees to it.
