Nick Mullens has heard the term “ball security,” once or twice maybe, spoken in a whisper in the back of a college QB room meeting, but he’s never had the pleasure of actually meeting the subject in person, and he certainly has no knowledge of what the term actually means.
I continue to be shown how insanely wrong I was that Kirk wasn’t worth bringing back after injury. It’s crazy how little QB talent there actually is in the NFL.
Vikings call timeout, they must want to give Mullens a chance to throw another pick

Dude, it’s your decision to start the highest active interception rate QB in the league and watched make horrible decisions on first and goal from the one among others for the last couple weeks.
Not that we should expect much from a journeyman backup, but I’d take a guy that might have some limitations but you can trust him to make sound decisions. Mullens is just a bonehead, and the mental side of the game just isn’t there. Never has been and never will be.

I’m surprised there was any hope he would be ok. He got cut by the bears this year and they have been looking for a decent qb for the existence of their franchise
Hopefully we’re smart enough to just lose out now. Trotting Mullens out there would help to accomplish that goal.
