I honestly don't care how many people watched it. I'm probably biased because my team was in it, but it was a good series. Both teams have some really fun players. The people who didn't watch missed out, IMO.
at least next year they can say they had a >50% jump in viewership and the MLB will let you think that viewership #s have never been better!
Too bad the WS viewership was down, but not surprising given the lack of big name teams. But overall it was a good postseason with some great individual performances by guys like Seager, Marte, Garcia, Schwarber.
Overall a good year for baseball kicking off with the WBC. The rule changes were great. Not only shaved off a lot of time but the quality of play and action was ramped up.
Now just get rid of this stupid blackout rule, the biggest sport killing policy of all time.

Having playoff games in the afternoon on all sorts of different networks doesn't exactly get casual fans engaged in the postseason. And most people likely couldn't name one DBacks player.
The local news tonight reported that Arlington Fire Department estimated about 600,000 people along the parade route today.

I don't like the Sox but Benetti is a FANTASTIC play by play guy (in every sport).
That's one reason I liked the Diamondbacks and watched the whole series (I normally don't unless it's the Cardinals). They didn't have any stars. Nothing turns me off like hearing the networks (ESPN is the worse) slobber over a few "name" players while generally ignoring the play and other players on the field.
Lifelong White Sox fan here...this absolutely sucks! There is no better play-by-play guy on TV...and he grew up a White Sox fan! And STILL this dip$hit organization can't do one thing right and give the man what he wanted! UGH...Jerry R needs to sell today!
As a lifelong Cubbie, Benetti and Stoney were a wonderful duo.
My husband is also a diehard, life long Sox fan. He was so bummed by this news. He despises Jerry. His words, "I don't like to wish death on people, but I wish Jerry would die so the Sox could get new ownership."
I know that the A’s have moved several times before, but relocation sucks; I can’t imagine what that would be like as a fan.
Also, it’s laughable that they did this without really knowing where they will be playing for a few years (I think I heard they will be playing in Oakland next season and then potentially a combination of the Giants’ stadium and Las Vegas’ aaa stadium
