MLB: 2017 Minnesota Twins Thread

Twins were down 4-3 in the 9th and have tied it up! bases loaded with 2 outs. Getting a walk-off here would be huge and would keep the momentum going.

EDIT: And we have a hit by pitch walk off win!! I'll take it.

I love how three guys immediately come here and post after a day game. Means at least three people are watching.

Good teams find ways to win games like these...

Something like that.

He went out with an injury last night, some bone in his hand. If the bone is broken it would mean he was out the rest of the year. But it appears to be just a bruise and he is day to day.

Jeez, Twins run into the wildcard and score like a hundred runs Saturday and it's crickets in this thread.

Don't know if these young guys will make it to the playoffs, but as Pauly has said, our position players look set for a long time.
Who would be your choice for a free agent starter for next year? I'm assuming the Twins will resign Kintzler to reestablish their closer spot.

Heard the first ESPN 'expert' last night taking the Twins for the second wild card. And it was the smartest guy in the business, IMO,-Aaron Boone.

Not exactly a bold choice since the Twins are currently that 2nd wildcard. ;)

They've been there for quite some time and none of the talking heads have been taking the Twins. It's been all Angels for the most part.

The Angels are the only legitimate team chasing them. Nobody would have picked the Twins to be where they are but that's not an excuse to pick against them now. Baltimore had their little run to try and get into the race and are now falling back. Texas can homer but has awful pitching. And KC is KC and sub .500.

Angels, maybe but they have injuries and over half of their remaining games are against 1st place teams. Twins do have six tough road games but that is like half of what the Angels have. Schedule will matter. Hell, I am a Yank fans and them having a bunch of the remaining games at home is a plus at this point. Irma moving the Tampa games to NY at Citi Field is almost like another three home games.

Big game tonight - Gibson needs to get them back on track. That weekend series in KC was brutal. Hopefully they can beat up on the Padres for a few days.

Brutal strikes me as a exaggerated. A wasted opportunity for sure but a 2-2 split where the Twins actually held or gained ground on most teams chasing them is hardly brutal.

Gotta get 4 of the next 6 between San Diego and Toronto. Then need to get at least 3 of 6 between the Yankees and Tigers.

I'd argue Texas has a legit shot with their schedule. Angels still have to play Houston twice.
