should be announced sometime this week.

2016 schedule was announced November 24th last year and the 2015 schedule on Nov 19 the year before.

What we know now:

Sept. 2: UNI
Sept. 9: Iowa
Sept. 23: @ Akron

Home: Kansas, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas
Away: Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Baylor, West Virginia

Still hate that we're @Akron in september. Hopefully we dont also have an away conference or bye week wasting another september weekend. This year was piss poor for tailgating.

Yeah I agree, I wish we would try to do the SEC thing when we're doing the road leg of our home-and-home games and stick them in November.

Planning to go to Akron to tailgate and hoping 2015 returns to his home town for the game.

It would be nice if the schedule is released in the next week. However, wonder if adding a CCG may delay release of the schedule.

How could we possible be playing @Akron? I mean how? Looking at that schedule early prediction:

UNI- Win and by alot
Iowa- Win. They lose alot on D and think Jewel goes pro too.
@Akron- Win
KU- Win
TCU- Win
Texas- Loss
Okie s- Win
@KSU- Win
@OU- Loss
@ Baylor- Win
@ TT- Win
@WV- Loss

9-3....Book it.

Iowa- Win. They lose alot on D and think Jewel goes pro too.... Doubt Jewel goes anywhere, but still could be a W
@Akron- Win... Should
KU- Win.... Yes
TCU- Win... Flip flop with texas
Texas- Loss.... Flip flop with TCU
Okie s- Win... Doubtful
@KSU- Win... I wish, but not if the wizard is still there
@OU- Loss... Of course
@ Baylor- Win.... Possible, but probably not yet
@ TT- Win... I hope so too
@WV- Loss

I've got it 6-6, with Iowa as a swing game.

Win difficulty ranking: Iowa, texas, tx tech, Ku, Akron, uni

Closest loss: K St, Tcu, wv, ok St, Baylor, ok

-We'll beat UNI next year
-We'll beat Iowa as well. They are setting up for a rebuilding year, especially with a new and inexperienced QB taking the reigns
-We'll beat Akron
-We'll beat KU. They're getting better, so it won't be easy
-Probably lose to TCU. Although, I think it's more of a toss-up game.
-Texas is a tough pick right now. A new coach next year and I think we beat them
-OSU will beat us
-KSU likely beats us
-OU = duh
-Baylor could be a win for us. They'll be transitioning to a new staff
-TT is another tough game to predict. Possible new staff for them as well
-WVU is a likely loss. Without knowing who returns for them, I think they're still a tough outing

Basically, I'm not really certain what our record looks like next year. An educated guess has me thinking 6-6. It all really depends on how we start the season. If we have 4 wins through the first 4 games, it'll be impossible to say what our ceiling is. Confidence can go a very long way. Campbell is changing the losers mentality surrounding the program.

If I had to guess, TT's staff stays through next year. Kingbury's buyout is too high to toss him now.

I'm sorry, but if any of us think Iowa is vulnerable due to graduation losses to their defense, the participation reports simply do not support this.

Against us, Iowa started 6 seniors on offense and three seniors on defense.
In their win against Michigan, they started 4 seniors on offense and 3 seniors on defense.
Against Nebraska, they started 3 seniors on offense and 3 seniors on "d". And that was their senior day game.

I don't think they'll be rebuilding a damn thing. Even the loss of Beathard will not be felt that significantly since Iowa's offense, for the most part, features a plug and play quarterback.

However, wonder if adding a CCG may delay release of the schedule.

It probably will. The Big 12 should want to front-load the schedule to have the perceived contenders play earlier in the year so there's as much time possible between rematches. The only problem is that there are games played on traditional dates (like OU-UT and OU-OSU) that will need to be worked around.

Yep I think you're right and schools like ISU and KU will see their schedules be relatively easy toward the beginning of the season. Wouldn't be shocked to see KU @ ISU kick off the conference schedule on 9/30.
