To be fair, those numbers would be a massive improvement over the last two seasons.

Did Kirk forget there’s no big 10 west anymore? To be fair, those numbers would be a massive improvement over the last two seasons.
Iowa fans say 2020 can’t be counted. No way they are now trying to use it.Iowa is touting his high flying offense in a four year period, forgetting that one of those years was in 2020, when WMU played only 6 games, winning four. And that he never won the MAC west.
Exactly. Kirk wants no part of a high-powered offense that makes his boy look bad for the last few years. He'll gladly take his chance at winning 10 games again against another pretty weak schedule with a good defense and not turning the ball over. Next year will be identical to the last 2, and Kirk will probably hang it up after that. This hire was to make BF look better.
Lol - I saw this today and it is hilarious. To be fair, those numbers would be a massive improvement over the last two seasons.
They had a golden opportunity to hire an absolute stud by guaranteeing him the head coaching spot in a year if they were smart.Lol - I saw this today and it is hilarious.
To me, it shows Iowa could not find ANYONE who wanted this job. I have to think this was like their 20th choice. Would be career suicide to go there and take that job. No freedom to implement a system, a coach who's on the 18th hole. It is a terrible job objectively.
Think this is a little closer...Lol - I saw this today and it is hilarious.

I would have preferred Johns, but what the hell do I know about OC's
In six years as Western Michigan’s coach, Lester went 37-32. From 2018-21, Lester supervised an offense that ranked in the top 35 nationally in total offense each year.
It's truly incredible that it took 3 months to hire a guy that wasn't even a blip on the radar of any other school. Like they literally just started scouring the phone books begging for someone to take it.How many other Big 10 schools would have hired Lester as OC?
The funniest hok comments were defending Iowa to beating out Troy, saying that Troy has a good football program and worthy competition for Iowa to get Lester.
