Other than being honest I would be the worst Mormon in it's history.

I haven't been to church outside a wedding, funeral, or baptism in 24 years (when I was forced to attend), hate religion, fail the sexual standards (outside their same-sex mandate), fail the drinks, swear constantly, and wholly discourage others from conforming to this crap.

I guess I should start my own money embezzling, tax shelter, sham of a religion. The Normons.
I would never have thought this about you.

I'll attribute the bulk to better athletes. It's a lot harder to blow by, and shoot over, Big 12 level comp than it is Q4 level scrubs.
The last 5 misses were in conf, but he went 1-11 against the December scrubs we played too

Hmmm, I didn't look it up and was assuming most were against the last 3 opps. That isn't it then.

It would be interesting to see what % of those shots were "good shots" but there is too much work involved with that.

Who would have thought Lipsey would be our 2nd best 3 pt shooter at this point? That's both good and bad news at the same time.

He's gone full Gabe - I think it's mental. Against OSU he had the one where he tried to draw the foul, so not really an attempt (just one of his 2-3 frustrating plays per game that you have to put up with for all the other good he does). But then the other was a clean look and it was way off - looked like he was lining it up, way too much arc, and then it barely scraped the rim. I think he's just lost confidence and is overthinking each long-range shot.

We're a 4.5 point dog in this road game tonight and the experts who do this for a living give ISU about a 1 in 3 chance to win the game.

With BYU's 1-2 start in conference play, they really need to protect their home floor tonight or they will start their conference season in a big hole, so I expect them to be very hyped up.

Not expecting a win tonight, so I'll be really excited if we can find a way to get the W.

I think the difference is that he was hitting more outside shots in the noncon, and now that he isn't, defenders can back off a bit and make it harder for him to blow by them. We hadn't needed to run much for him as he was getting it on his own, but we might need to do that from time to time until he starts making them respect his shot.
It's like a mini version of Tamin last year. Except he's playing wing and not point guard. We need him to be able to score consistently from the actual wing. It can be off the bounce but he needs to be able to keep them honest to be able to do that. He's not very big but he has a crazy knack for finishing around the rim that we haven't had.

BYU's double digit loss to Cincy at home on the surface is perplexing.

Looking at the box score it appears BYU shot poorly while Cincy was very efficient. Cincy normally not a good three point shooting team shot 40% but on only 6 made 3's.

Cincy is a good defensive team but average on defending three's. I know there can be a whole other thread on the significance of 3pt defensive metrics but the poor shooting probably comes down to poor shooting and some Cincy defense.

The real key stat is Cincy made 19 FT's to BYU's 5. In fact BYU attempted only 10. So as Cyclone fans in the Fred years know you don't shoot as many FT when you shoot a lot three's.

This year we are the 30th rated team according to Bart Torvik at getting to the line. The question is will we make them. If we do I like our chances on coming out with a win.
FT's were one of, if not, the reason we were able to beat Houston, a game we didn't hit many 3's. At Oklahoma, if we go to the foul line a bit more and make 'em, and hit a couple of more 3's, we likely win that game.

We need to get to the foul line, make 'em, AND hit a couple more 3's, in order to have a better chance to win these road games.

Worked for LRH.

ESPN+ blows. I have to stream it from the iPad and it always stops and cuts out followed by a commercial break that lasts far too long and doesn't go back to the game in time. Wish we could get back on the cable channels.

I just stream it through my Roku with literally zero issues

WTH Thats the exact same weather we have today in Houston
I really feel for you guys, and your 1-2 cold days/year! :D

Edit: Your mild winters are nice, but then again, you pay for it with PLENTY of awful hot and humid summer days.

When Ejim came on CF for surprise Q&A I asked him about the BYU finger incident and he didn't answer me. He simply didn't respond in any way, but he didn't respond to lots of questions. A few fellow CF posters were upset with me for asking, but I still think it was an interesting question to ask. He's probably a pretty solid guy for ignoring it but maybe somebody else goes into all the detail.

Looks like what Carver wants to be like.

Like if you added another 15 rows of seats above the "hole" at Carver so you walk in not totally at ground level.

Don't you walk in at the very top at CHA? I went there a lot as a kid and in college but haven't been in over 20 years.

I really don't dislike these guys as much as I thought I would because of how Utah fans are such an obvious top villain. Also seems like their fans were incredibly nice in FB even though they lost.

I think ESPN+ is great
I have it, so I guess it's pretty good. Don't have espn this year.

Are the days gone where we might expect all Big 12 games to be on one network? Or, to put it another way, will there ever be a Big 12 network?
