She seems to still be getting a lot of media attention outside of local/Iowa outlets.

Don't know about that. Look at all the press they give Lucca Garza because he is still clinging to any type of NBA career. He's not even a native Iowan. Chan 13 will try to convince you that the WNBA is the biggest thing since women's college basketball. Or sliced bread.
Getting national media attention is different than being in things. Blake Griffin is still in Subway commercials and he’s not even in the NBA anymore. I’ve said this before there is a huge difference in being popular and moving the needle in a small populated state in a niche sport vs. getting compared to Lebron, Tiger, and Michael ******* Jordan. She seems to still be getting a lot of media attention outside of local/Iowa outlets.
Well now you're just being silly. Like I said, I get hating her if you're not an Iowa fan. But I'd hardly describe her as "yesterday's news".lol. Ok Keith.

Agreed.Whenever I catch a whiff of national sports talk/media it's still all about Ohtani, the Cowboys, Lebron/Lakers, NFL, College Football, Mahomes, etc. I really only hear about Clark if it's a game highlight or Des Moines sports talk.

Clark is a big deal in the state of Iowa for sure.Well now you're just being silly. Like I said, I get hating her if you're not an Iowa fan. But I'd hardly describe her as "yesterday's news".
Well I already offered up a list of nationally relevant things that have featured her just in the past few months. But to each his own.Not if you live in Iowa. But if you live anywhere else in the country, I promise, to the casual sports fan, she’s yesterdays news.
I don't disagree there.Clark is a big deal in the state of Iowa for sure.
However, it was just as silly to compare her to Tiger Woods or Michael Jordan on the impact she has on women's college basketball.
I also find it funny that people like Murphy and Fales say the reason some of us don't like her -- even though she is a great athlete -- is jealousy when they turnaround and say they don't like Angel Reese or Kim Mulkey. They won a national title. One is a talented athlete and the other is a coach that is very successful. What is the difference there?
Right. Jason Sudekis and Sue Bird (this was everywhere) were sitting courtside at the Iowa game a couple weeks ago to see yesterday's news. Very few college athletes get the type of national exposure that she receives. Of course you can't compare her to professional superstar athletes. I live out of state and I know a lot of casual sports fans that do tune in to watch just because of her.Not if you live in Iowa. I can respect the fact she may be the most talented women's basketball player we have seen. But this isn't the first time I watched her act like a complete a$$ on the court for whatever the reason. She is a poor winner and even worse loser. IMHO... Discuss...
it was one time, easy there. if you have ever played sports, there are moments of frustration. it happened once, no big deal. if it persists, then it’s a big deal
I didn't see anything that blatant in Hilton, but she had more than just "moments" of "frustration". She complained about nearly every freaking call.it was one time, easy there. if you have ever played sports, there are moments of frustration. it happened once, no big deal. if it persists, then it’s a big deal

I do not understand why the refs put up with it. Usually, refs have huge egos and tolerate very little disrespect. CC was arguing/complaining constantly in that game. At one point, she was openly mocking them as she walked back to the huddle.I didn't see anything that blatant in Hilton, but she had more than just "moments" of "frustration". It's not much different than the preferential treatment the superstars receive in virtually every sports league.I do not understand why the refs put up with it. Maybe it's the approach of: flood them with so many complaints they can't constantly T you up for all of them? I'm guessing they know they don't want to toss her so they let 99% of it go.
That would not be my approach, if I were a ref. I'd warn both teams and coaches ahead of the game regarding disrespect toward officials. Then I'd give the player one warning during the game. After that, it's T City.
